Charley Webb confirmed that she had left Emmerdale following 19 years.
According to reports, her ex-star on Coronation Street, she has resigned from the show after Matthew Wolfenden, 41 was reportedly involved in a race dispute. He denied this.

Charley was asked by a follower if Emmerdale had been abandoned.Charley responded: This is the most commonly asked question I get, but it’s not something I ever answered before.
“I quit to have Ace two years back. To complete the storyline, I returned to Ace at the close of last year.
“So, it seems that officially it has been one year. It wasn’t something I felt like announcing, so we didn’t.

Last week, Ace’s mother, a proud mom to her sons Buster (11 years old) and Bowie (6 years), addressed the media rumors and stated that she has no plans to return.
Webb’s character Debbie is currently living in Scotland and has not been on the show since 2021.
An insider told The Sun at the time: ‘Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back.
‘The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale. Matthew was caught in the set row that led to her decision not to stay.
Matthew, 41 years old, was accused in October of inappropriately commenting to a female cast member from mixed race on-set.
Race row: On October 11, Matthew (41), and Isabel Hodgins (27) were accused of inappropriately commenting on a cast member from mixed races.
He and Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden, were also facing claims that the mixed-race actress’s accent was ‘mimicked’.
The soap’s stars, who were both born in 2006, have denied racism claims and suggested that the entire thing is a misinterpretation.
Later, it was revealed that the actor also had an argument with Aaron Anthony who portrays Ellis Chapman.
Anthony (28 years old) has apparently told Emmerdale executives that he would quit Emmerdale when his contract ends.

Cameron Murray tried to kill Debbie in an episode filled with drama. They were trapped in the basement of the pub and had to try to keep afloat.
A few more years later, Debbie is able to date Pete Barton, but then she begins an affair with Ross her brother. The pair plan to escape together days before Pete’s nuptials.
