For all seasons, a Christmas tree! A family keeps their Christmas tree up year round and decorates it for every occasion, from Valentine’s Day to Halloween.

  • Vicki Morley (44), from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire has maintained the tree all year.
  • After last year’s lockdown, she kept up Xmas decorations so that her brother in hospital could still enjoy them after he was discharged.
  • It was decorated to celebrate Halloween, UEFA birthdays and other celebrations

It is always difficult to take down Christmas decorations and put away the tree at the end.

But one family has found a way to avoid it – by keeping their tree up all year and redecorating it for everything from Valentine’s Day to Halloween.

Vicki Morley (44) originally put up Christmas decorations last year after the lockdown hit festivities. She wanted her brother to be able to enjoy them after his discharge.

The tree was still useful for commemoration and celebrations throughout 2021.

Mrs Morley, from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, said: ‘In January the idea was very simple – a winter tree. It was then that there seemed to always be another reason for it to get redecorated.

Mrs Morley added a Valentine’s Day theme in February with her husband Darren (50), and four of their children. They switched over to Mother’s Day decor in March.

The 18th anniversary of Niamh, daughter in April, was Mrs Morley’s. She continued on, dedicating May 2005 to her twin daughters, whom she miscarried in 2005. After Christmas, the tree celebrated summer, Halloween, Remembrance Day and Euros.
