After several complaints from patients, a doctor that was the most popular cosmetic surgeon on social networking has been expelled from practicing procedures.
Dr. Daniel Aronov, who worked at a Melbourne clinic run by Dr. Daniel Lanzer, racked up more than 13 million followers on TikTok and more than 500,000 followers on Instagram from sharing videos dancing and performing operations on patients.
Following allegations by a variety of patients, however, the Australian Health Practitioner Agency banned him from practicing surgical procedures.
One woman claimed that Dr Aronov had botched her facial lift and then stopped mid-surgery to take a TikTok.
Sunday Morning Herald reports: “The practitioner cannot practice without supervision and even when supervised, the practitioner may only practice as General Practitioner.”

A request was made by the national regulator of health for Dr. Daniel Aronov to delete all social media posts he has posted about cosmetic or surgical procedures.
A spokesperson from AHPRA stated that the condition are unlikely to be removed if Australia’s Medical Board of Australia believes otherwise.The restrictions can be appealed by an independent tribunal to declare them inapplicable.
Among the patients who’ve spoken out about the treatment they received from Dr. Daniel Aronov is a woman who had felt self-conscious about excess fat around her jaw and neck for years.
Jackie claims that her doctor stopped Jackie’s facelift in order to take a TikTok. She said she left her in pain with a lump under her chin.
She explained that he was in middle of the surgery, and is now stopping to check the video. He then said no, and then added, “I don’t want this, take that out, make it again.”
‘It’s etched in my mind because I was lying their shaking in shock and pain and just traumatized to what he had just done to me – and he was on the other side of the door doing a TikTok video,’ Jackie told A Current Affair.
“I was both black and blue. I felt swollen. It was as if someone had beat me in an alleyway. It’s like they’re going to kill me. He was entertaining the crowd.

Jackie claimed that she suffered nerve damage from the operation, and that her face was droopy. She continued, saying, ‘If somebody wants to be on Instagram and a celebrity, it’s fine, but they shouldn’t hurt people in order to do so.
He uses patients to sell himself. His actions are a miracle.
Another former patient alleges that he was left with a ‘deformed fatty lump’ after visiting Dr. Daniel Aronov for liposuction.
“What he did to me was to staple me together like two sheets of paper that had been cut in half.” I would not have allowed Dr. Aronov to come near me if I had known then what I now know.

Another patient accused Dr. Daniel Aronov of leaving them with an ‘informed fat lump’ following liposuction.
The lawyer for Dr. Aronov responded to A Current Affair’s claims, saying: “It would be inappropriate to me comment on any issues that are currently the topic of an AHPRA inquiry.”
Since September, more than 140 whistleblowers have come forward following an investigation into Dr. Daniel Lanzer’s clinic.
This controversial practice is accused of violating safety and hygiene regulations, as well as leaving patients with further treatment needs after failed procedures.
