Tim Paine (pictured with wife Bonnie) revealed coach Justin Langer begged him to stay on as captain of the Australian test team

Tim Paine (pictured together with Bonnie) said that Justin Langer, his coach, begged him for his continued service as captain of Australia’s test team.

Tim Paine’s wife sent Tim a number of inappropriate messages, including an explicit photograph. Tim Paine demanded that she apologize and pay $40,000 for legal fees.

Paine resigned as the Australian Cricket Team captain on Friday, after it became clear that he had shared with staffers in 2017 a text message exchange which contained an “unsolicited” picture of his genitals along with some ‘graphical sexual comments”.

A woman who was an intermediary between Cricket Australia and the woman confirmed that she contacted them in private mid-2018. She first demanded an apology. Then, she wanted money to pay her legal fees, which totaled to $40,000.

Sean Mulcahy stated to The Age that she indicated that Cricket Tasmania intended to keep the matter confidential and that she wanted an apology and reimbursement for her legal costs.

“I informed her that, given the imminent Ashes series and the serious fallout from South Africa’s incident, as well as the subsequent dismissal of Steve Smith as captain, she might be able to command a substantial fee for her story. The final decision she made was to forget about the issue and move on.

Paine quit as captain of the Australian cricket team on Friday after it was revealed he shared a text exchange with a young staffer in 2017 that included an' unsolicited' picture of his genitals

Paine resigned as Australian Cricket Team captain on Friday, after it became clear that he had a text conversation with a young employee in 2017, which included an “unsolicited” picture of his genitals.

Mulcahy claimed that the story was not the woman’s goal and said she did not leak it to the media.

He stated, “It was always my understanding she never wanted the matter to be public.”

“She declined the opportunity to make a large pay day for the story to be told, but she decided to keep quiet.” She is not the one who made this story public.

In a Tell-All interview, Paine and Bonnie said that they feared that the story might one day be made public.

He stated that although he believed the issue had been dealt with, the issue always appeared around the end of a major series or the start to the cricket season.

“For the three-year period, we have seen many instances where media agencies claimed they have evidence. Yet, they have never chosen to make it.

“As for why? I don’t know, but no one else had chosen the story to tell, but I knew that it would come out some day, even though I wasn’t happy about it.

Last week’s messages were finally revealed. Paine, the Australian Test Captain, resigned at a sad press conference Friday.

The 36-year-old revealed the team's national coach Justin Langer was 'devastated' and tried to convince him to stay on as captain of the side

He revealed that Justin Langer, 36 years old, was devastated by the loss of his national coach and tried to persuade Langer not to leave the side as captain.

He maintained that it was solely his decision to resign. Justin Langer, the national coach of the team was devastated and attempted to persuade him to continue.

Paine replied, “He was very firm about wanting me to stay as captain. But once I had explained to Him the reasons why I believed resigning would be the best thing to have to do, he was all for it.”

“I received messages from all of my colleagues saying they have my back and that we all make errors, but we get on with our lives.”

Paine stated that he used to talk regularly with her about cricket-related matters until it became ‘flirtatious.

Paine, who guided Australia to the Ashes in England in 2019, announced he was stepping down as captain in a tearful press conference on Friday

Paine led Australia to the Ashes in England, in 2019. He announced that he would be stepping down from his role as captain during a sad press conference.

“There wasn’t anything unusual about it.” However, he stated that one of the texts was too open ended and that it led to a flirtatious exchange.

Former test captain stated that he told his wife about the 2017 exchange when it became known to Cricket Tasmania, in mid-2018. This shook their relationship.

“As soon a complaint was filed. Everything was revealed to her. All of it was true. Paine said that while it was difficult, it was the best thing that I had done.

Bonnie stated that she had a lot of sympathy for her husband, and claimed the couple overcame the betrayal despite Bonnie considering quitting.

“I felt mixed emotions. I felt like I was betrayed and that I was hurt and upset. I also felt angry at the man for being honest about me. I also felt grateful. So I asked myself, “OK, can I just walk?” Or forgiven and rebuilt? “I chose the former,” she said to the Herald Sun.

“It was difficult, but he has forgiven me for certain things and other people have forgiven my past so I felt that I owed Tim the obligation to forgive.
