An employee who was unhappy with her boss complained and caused stress in Thailand, allegedly set fire to an oil warehouse she used as a Thai worker.

Ann Sriya (38), allegedly lit a piece paper on fire, then threw it onto a fuel container. This caused a massive fire that consumed the Prapakorn oil warehouse in Nakhon Pathom on Nov 29.

Police arrested her and she admitted to arson. She claimed that she was motivated by stress from her 65-year-old employer, Pipat Ungprapakorn.

On December 1, Ms. Sriya was arrested by police. She had been working for Prapakorn Oil since 9 years and allegedly admitted to arson.

Police say she said she was motivated by stress that her boss Pipat Ungprapakorn caused.

Major General Chomchawin Purthananon stated that this was the second instance of a factory setting blaze. Prapakorn Oil employs the woman since nine years.

“She claimed that her employer made complaints to her every day and was causing her stress. She didn’t expect her fire to do this much damage.”

Ann was held in custody as police interrogated the factory owner.
