In order to inoculate five million more Britons, door-to-door Covid jab team teams will be deployed to their homes.

  • Ministers want to dispatch Covid jabbers to unvaccinated Brits door-to-door.
  • A nationwide vaccination drive would send vaccine teams to low-uptake areas.
  • Doctors have warned that up to 90% of Covid patients in ICU weren’t inoculated

Ministers are considering sending door-to-door teams equipped with Covid jabs to homes where unvaccinated Britons live. This is in order to inoculate the five million remaining people.

The Department of Health and NHS England discussed the possibility of a nationwide effort to dispatch vaccine teams to regions with low vaccination rates. This would be a way to bypass lockdowns.

This is also a method to obtain jabs in rural areas and households that cannot access a vaccine centre.

One Cabinet Minister last night backed the plan, saying: ‘I think anything that encourages the vaccine-hesitant is sensible,’ before warning: ‘The mood in the country is hardening against people who refuse to be vaccinated.

Doctors claim that up to 90% of Covid patients in ICUs are not currently vaccinated.

It is as follows:

  • Hospitality bosses and MPs have begged Boris Johnson not to ruin New Year’s Eve or risk ‘devastating’ businesses;
  • It is likely that the Cabinet will meet in early February to determine whether new restrictions should be imposed due to Omicron’s variant.
  • Scientists from the government have released scenario after scenario that would show how tougher restrictions might be implemented on December 28th and continue until March.
  • Modeling done by London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine indicated that there may be an increase in hospitalizations during winter, even though Omicron has a lower risk of causing severe illnesses.

Reports have claimed ministers are watching hospitalisation numbers in the capital, with a two-week 'circuit breaker' lockdown set to be imposed if daily numbers surpass 400

The Christmas Day vaccination drive went on. NHS England reported that thousands received booster, first and second jabs yesterday.

Over 220,000 doses of vaccine were distributed in the week up to 21 December. That’s an increase of 46 percent compared with the prior week. In the same time period, 18-24 year olds received 85% more vaccines than 25-30-year-olds. The rate of first doses was 71% higher in those aged 25-30 years.

Already, 150 people have received their booster or first jabs from door-to–door visits in Ipswich.

Downing Street sources claimed that this is an effort to extend the program to all of America and reach the five-million unvaccinated.

Dan Poulter is a Tory MP who was also a NHS hospital doctor and has worked shifts in London hospitals. He welcomed the plans. He said: ‘In parts of London where there’s very low vaccine uptake, you’re bound to get a good uptake in jabs if you’re knocking on doors.

‘I think that would have a very positive effect in getting vaccination rates higher.’

The Tory MPs warned the Government to not shut down the economy just for people with no money.
