A police drone was launched and operators used thermal imaging technology to pin-point the 30-year-old man’s exact location.
The man is being led by officers to the location where he was hiding. He was then arrested for making threats of killing, threatening behaviour, and possession of Class A drugs.
PC Paul Davis, of West Midlands Police’s drone team, said: ‘We had a drone team in the area anyway so we were able to get it to the address within minutes.
On Tuesday afternoon, police were called to Cobham Road by a report of an individual threatening behavior.

We were then able beam back images live from the property to let the officers know when the suspect fled the rear of the house.
“The drone tracked him through gardens, and eventually reached Ronald Road where it was finally able to arrest him.
‘If the drones hadn’t been available he may have been able to have slip away, but the cameras can give us great coverage over a large area and the thermal imaging meant there was nowhere to hide.’
