Her previous experience includes overseeing a castle of 356 rooms, situated in the middle of an expansive 16,000-acre estate.

For the next four week, however, the Duchess will live in a tiny apartment of just a few metres.

Emma Manners (58) has traded Leicestershire’s Belvoir, which serves as a substitute for the royal residences on Netflix’s The Crown, for a beachfront home in India.

The châtelaine and mother-of-five revealed on Instagram today that she has jetted off to the southern state of Kerala to spend a month studying yoga and meditation.

She has booked herself into Soma Manaltheeram, a wellness retreat that promises guests the opportunity to ‘pamper themselves with a heavenly experience’ and offers treatment programmes ranging from weight loss to stress management.

You will find a variety of luxurious huts along the coastline that provide accommodation.

Even the highest-end option, the Kerala House Delux, is exceedingly modest compared to the refined opulence of Belvoir’s bedrooms.

Costing in the region of £190 a night, the house is built with mud and bricks and is finished in traditional style, complete with antique furnishings. You can also enjoy a stunning view of the ocean from this house.

Importantly, the air conditioner will also keep the Duchess of Cambridge cool during the 30 degree heat.

Belvoir CEO, the Duchess of Cambridge could seek out innovative ideas for her home. She has been working hard to maintain their financial viability after lockdowns severely reduced visitor numbers and cut back on money.

Her estranged husband David Manners is the 11th Duke de Rutland. She lives with her on-the estate. They are legally separated, and they live separately in Belvoir.

Emma, a seasoned entrepreneur, planned to host ‘yoga & juice healing retreats’ last year. A five-day retreat that included meditation, talks about neuroplasticity, emotional healing, Indian Head Massage, and Reiki was also offered.

Belvoir’s women are firmly at the wheel, so it is not surprising the castle embraces its feminine side.

Before lockdown, the castle already had a ‘Wellness Wagon’ in its grounds – a colourful gipsy caravan offering spiritual readings by ‘Psychic Jeanie’ – and other special events involving fortune-tellers and clairvoyants.

Emma built a Japanese peace pole, covered in crystals and sprinkled it with love, positivity, light, energy, as part of a Pagan ritual to atone from the Battle of Hastings.

This battle saw William the Conqueror give the Belvoir land to the Duke’s forefathers.

A gin brand, new retail quarter, and podcast were also launched by her, appropriately named The Duchess.
