The moment a gang smashed an EE shop to steal the latest iPhones, stunned customers laughed at them.
Video footage showed the raiders storming the Birmingham City Centre store at 3.15pm on Saturday.
Customers watched in disbelief as half a dozen yobs clad in black burst into the shop in Corporation Street and started smashing up displays to get their hands on the new model iPhones worth more than £1,000.
Shoppers were flabbergasted by the robbers’ failed attempts to rip out the display cases which contained smart pounds worth more than £6,000.
Gangs will often drag the phone cases off their base and take them with them.

However, the group could not wrestle with the exhibits and then take them.
A woman said: ‘The display is not yet complete. It is still not coming off. Another thug stood up on the top and tried to take down the security cabinet.
While the robbers were continuing to remove the merchandise, there was a large crowd outside.
The police said that the robbers ran from the scene, but they only managed one iPhone.
West Midland Police reported that the police were looking into a robbery at Corporation Street Store on October 16, at 3:15pm.

Staff reopened the store after it was closed for an hour. One worker said, “Thankfully, everyone is okay.” It was extremely traumatizing.
