Quincy Promes is a Dutch footballer who allegedly stabbed his cousin in the leg at a family get-together.
The £50,000-per-week Spartak Moscow forward was not named by prosecutors in his home country but Dutch media reports identified him as the suspect.
Promes, 29 years old, is suspected of having stabbed a relative. In which case, Promes’ cousin was severely injured in the knee.
The married father-of-three was arrested in mid-December and later released in connection with the incident, which happened at a family party in the scenic town of Abcoude, just outside Amsterdam.
Promes (29), is allegedly to have stabbed a relative. The victim’s cousin was also seriously injured in the knee.

News reports at the time stated that he got in a fight after an argument with his relative. However, other relatives intervened quickly.
A relative placed charges against him last November.
Prosecutors concluded that Promes was guilty of attempted murder or aggravating assault after an investigation.
They stated in the statement that the suspect had been informed by his lawyer about the decision to pursue prosecution.
The court date remains to be set.
