Eamonn Holmes claims that ITV is ‘heavily’ advertising Good Morning Britain, in response to the GB News programme affecting their viewers.
The presenter, 62, left ITV and his This Morning hosting gig late last year and is now fronting a breakfast show on GB News with Isabel Webster.
On Wednesday Eamonn responded to a tweet from a viewer who wrote: ‘Just seen @BBCBreakfast being advertised for the first time ever on the BBC. @EamonnHolmes & Isobel Webster on @GBNEWS breakfast must be having one hell of an impact on their viewing figures.’

Eamonn replied: ‘Not the first to say this… GMB advertising heavily as well . Whatever you do stay strong folks and stay with @GBNEWS.’
ITV, BBC and Eamonn have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
Eamonn and Isabel fronted their first show at the start of January and the broadcaster admitted he ‘didn’t sleep a wink’ beforehand.

Opinions: Eamonn replied to a Twitter comment from a viewer on Wednesday, writing: “Just seen @BBCBreakfast advertised for the very first time ever by the BBC. @EamonnHolmes & Isobel Webster on @GBNEWS breakfast must be having one hell of an impact on their viewing figures’
His response was: “I have to create a long-term plan for how I will get up every morning. Last night, I did not sleep one snooze.
“My children bought me an expensive alarm clock. The alarm went off, and it wouldn’t go off.
Eamonn admitted that Isabel and his breakfast show will do a lot of different things.
He said, “I’m receiving some beautiful messages from people all over the country. They are excited about what we’re doing differently.”
Career: It was announced in November that Holmes would be leaving ITV after 15 years hosting This Morning alongside his wife Ruth
“Hopefully we’ll do lots of different things. News will be done, but news with perspectives is what we are going to do. Because it’s important to you and it’s important to us, we’ll do it.
After ITV had to issue a statement confirming Ruth Langsford will be staying with ITV following Eamonn’s departure, it is now.
One spokesperson stated that they wished Eamonn the best for his new job.

ITV Daytime’s Ruth is a key part, as she continues to be a member the This Morning family and anchor presenter for Loose Women.
In November, it was revealed that Holmes and Ruth would be leaving ITV. Holmes had been hosting This Morning for 15 years.

Holmes stated that he was stepping down from ITV after a career spent broadcasting and started start-ups. GB News is the best yet. It is exactly the industry’s need for a shakeup.

Holmes is a Belfast native and the channel’s latest signee.
On-air talent includes former Sky anchor Colin Brazier and Alastair Stewart, ITV News journalist for ITV News and Gloria De Piero, former Labour MP.
Holmes was the host of GMTV before This Morning. He has worked on radio with slot assignments at stations such as Radio 5 Live and Magic and BBC Radio 2 and talkRadio.
