Elton John jokingly branded Ed Sheeran a ‘little b*****d’ for ‘nearly killing’ him on the set of their new Christmas charity single.   

The pair wowed fans as they packed on the festive cheer in their glittering video for their song Merry Christmas, on Friday.

The duo re-created scenes from iconic videos, including Wham’s Last Christmas,  Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas, The Snowman’s Walking in the Air and East 17’s Stay Another Day as they surprised fans with cameos from their famous friends.  

He was a hitmaker on A-team, and dressed in sexy Santa clothes, moving his hips while Elton (74) tinkled at the ivories, which were surrounded with lavish decorations.

New look: The A-team hitmaker, 30, really got into the festive spirit as he slipped into a sexy Santa outfit and swayed his hips back and forth while Elton, 74, played the piano

Redesigned look: Elton (74), was the pianist and the A-team’s hitmaker. He wore a Santa suit and danced back and forth in a Santa outfit while Elton (30) was on the stage. 

Elton, during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show this week was asked by host if he had ever been in an accident while on-set.  

The singer replied, “I beg your pardon?” It’s all completely beyond my comprehension! It is a new concept to me. Do you have proof? 

Jonathan explained to Elton how the bell almost struck Jonathan on his head. Wait until I see that little b*****d!’

Directed by Jason Koenig, the video sees Ed and Elton pair their uplifting arrangements and joyous harmonies to ring in the Christmas season.

Ed channeled Elton’s style sense and donned an aqua sparkle coat with oversized glasses while they sang in the snowy forest. 

Rock band The Darkness provided support, while Mr Blobby, a winter man of the year, danced with them. 

And that wasn’t the end of the A-list cameos as Ed was then joined by Jonathan Ross, Big Narstie, and Michael McIntyre to re-create East 17’s Stay Another Day.

They were hilarious as stars in black-and-white footage, as they sat in fuzzy outerwear looking ridiculous and passionately sang together. 

Finale in huge Christmas celebration. The cast gathered around Elton’s piano to sing and dance together. 

The song was complete with elaborate decorations and a group of dancers. Ed lay on the piano, exhausted, as Ed walked across it.

The stars have donated the royalties from their singles and the sales profit to Ed’s Suffolk Music Foundation, and Elton’s AIDS Foundation.
