Following a collision with a car in Bolton, 92 year-old Mary was taken to hospital.
Images from the scene in Westhoughton show a black BMW in the pensioners home after it crashed through railings outside the property in the early hours of Sunday morning before smashing through her front window.
Greater Manchester Police confirms she was in the house at that time. She suffered severe leg injuries.
The 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody and is currently being interrogated on suspicions of assault and driving offences.

The incident happened at 5:15am at the approach to a mini-roundabout at Chew Moor Lane’s junction with Bolton Road

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned on suspicion of driving offences and assault.
At the junction of Chew Moor Lane and Bolton Road, it happened at 5.15am..
Shortly after, police, firefighters and North West Ambulance Service arrived on the scene.
Police released the following statement: “A 92 year-old female was in the house at that time, and sustained serious leg injuries.”
“She was taken to hospital and remains there in a critical condition.

The crash occurred while the pensioner was on the premises. He is still being treated in the hospital.

It crashed into the bungalow’s railings and plowed into its side.
A 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of assault and dangerous driving.
“He received treatment at the hospital for a severe head injury.”
