A total of 11 soldiers died and another 15 were injured on a Russian military training site. The incident was declared terrorist by local authorities.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday that two men were believed to have fired on the group of Ukrainian volunteers as they prepared to take on the insurgents.
It is believed that the attackers attacked Belgorod, which lies on the border with Ukraine.
The defence ministry said two volunteer soldiers fired at fellow troops before they themselves were shot dead.
At the site, at least 11 victims were killed and 15 others were seriously injured.
It happened during target practice. Two volunteers of an unnamed ex Soviet nation opened fire at the group.
Ministry of Interior has declared the attack a terrorist act. Ukraine is not claiming responsibility.

According to reports, the attack took place in Belgorod Region which is bordering Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces recently recaptured the city of Kupiansk, east of Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine. One man seen with buckets for collecting water around the area.
“During a firearms-training session with people who had expressed the desire to take part in special military operations (against Ukraine), terrorists opened fire on personnel with small arms,” the ministry stated in a statement to local media.
“As a consequence of the shooting, eleven people died. A further 15 victims were also taken to the hospital with injuries of various severity.
It was part of a rush by Vladimir Putin to strengthen Russian forces in Ukraine. This move triggered protests, and hundreds upon thousands fled Russia.
Putin stated on Friday that over 220,000 reservists had already been called up in an attempt to recruit 300,000.
The Russian leader claimed that the only ones who have served in the military recently will be eligible for the call-up. However, rights activists reported that military conscription offices were gathering people with no army experience. Some of these people also proved to not be fit for military service due to medical reasons.

Russian citizens who were captured during partial mobilization have been seen being deployed to combat

The Ukrainian Army pushed Russian troops away from the Northeast of the Country in Counterattacks This Week
A few of the recently called up reserve members posted video of being made to lie on the floor, or out in the open and then being handed rusty weapons.
The authorities acknowledged the problems with the organization of the mobilization and offered to remedy the situation.
Putin stated earlier in the week that the recent military mobilization he had ordered was coming to an abrupt halt and that he does not plan on re-enlisting soldiers once this has been completed.
But it was revealed earlier this week Iranian troops have quietly joined the Ukrainian frontline to help train Moscow’s forces in how to operate kamikaze drones.
According to Mirror, up to 50 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps specialists (IRGC), were sent to the eastern and southern fronts with hundreds of Shahed136 drones.
On Thursday, an Iranian-made suicide drone strike struck near Makrariv. This small town is located 31 miles west from Kyiv. It destroyed critical infrastructure.
IRGC troops are reportedly based in Dzankoi, Crimea, and Kherson, in the south. One team was destroyed, despite denials by the Iranian regime.

The newspaper was told by a Ukrainian source that at least one Iranian training group had been attacked recently, and they are being pursued.
“We’ve been worried for some time about the IRGC specialist’s support of Russia’s terrible attack on civilians.
Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, had earlier accused Russia of using Iranian made Shahed-136 UAVs against military and civilian targets.
While Tehran denied selling the drones, there’s mounting evidence to suggest that Moscow may be using the weapons.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, 24 of these weapons were destroyed between September 30th, and October 6, alone. They are meant to flow directly into targets and overwhelm or evade air defences.
Explosive-laden drones with a range exceeding 600 miles can be positioned above possible targets for several hours before they are smashed directly into soldiers, vehicles, and buildings.

On Thursday, rescuers worked at the scene of an apartment building that was badly damaged in a Russian attack on Mykolaiv.
Russia intensified its bombing of civilian areas over the past weeks, as it lost ground in several occupied parts of Ukraine that Vladimir Putin illegally annexed.
Kyiv stated that on Monday, 83 missiles, or drones, were launched at the country, hitting the capital, and other cities. Civilians were also killed.
“They want chaos and panic.” Zelensky stated that they want to destabilize our energy system in Telegram’s video address. He said that Russia was attempting to destroy the United States and wipe it off the planet.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to believe that Putin would be willing to begin a nuclear war.
Satellite images reveal that the Russian leader increased the number strategic nuclear bomber stations at the airbase close to the Finnish and Norwegian border.
Putin, who has now increased that risk by warning of “global disaster” if Nato troops clash with Russia directly, warned against a ‘global tragedy’
In the coming weeks, there will be a variety of Russian nuclear drills. These are expected to include test firing of ballistic missiles while NATO prepares to react to any such attack.
Officials from the West claimed that Russia had ‘rapidly exhausted’ its missile supply and was therefore unable, due to sanctions to import replacement parts.
Another added, “For these reasons Russia can’t sustain the aerial campaign indefinitely.”
