Sir Elton John has tested positive for COVID-19.
The legendary singer, 74, has been forced to cancel two shows in Dallas, Texas as a result, it was announced Tuesday.
“It is with deep regret that Farewell Yellow Brick Road’s Dallas tour dates, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan 25th and Wednesday, Jan 26th, must be postponed as Elton has recently tested positive for COVID-19,” a statement said.
Elton appears to be experiencing very mild symptoms. Tickets should be secured as tickets will not be replaced at the new dates that are soon to be announced.

The Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour and ‘Elton’ look forward to seeing you on the stage again soon.
After a two year hiatus, the flamboyant British rocker just returned to his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour on January 20th.
“Wow, since 6 March 2020 we’ve not played a show. It’s a brand new experience. I haven’t had that much time in my life, he said to the audience at that concert.
I have a fact to tell you that these tickets have been kept by you for 745 days. Thank you so much for your patience. It’s funny, but it will be great.
All ticket holders have been informed by the company that their tickets will still be valid at a later date. This will be made public in due time.
Elton is busy with the pandemic. He released The Lockdown Sessions, a collaboration album that he created during COVID-19 Lockdown.

Travelling: Elton was seen arriving in Atlanta this week, ahead of his 2022 USA Farwell Tour.
John started his world tour to celebrate his retirement from touring in September 2018, marking the beginning of John’s final performance.
He was like other musicians who had to cancel live performances due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
In March 2020, his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour was first postponed.
At the time, he announced that he would postpone 19 dates until the pandemic started.
At the time, he told fans: ‘The health of my fans is of the upmost importance to me, so I have made the decision to reschedule my upcoming #EltonFarewellTour shows between March 26th – May 2nd.’

Elton is taking a lot: Elton was recently on a farewell tour of America.
Adding: ‘Unfortunately, as all of you know, there has been this awful pandemic…which is extremely worrying and extremely dangerous if we don’t take precautions.’
“I urge you to remain at home. Do what you are told, and take safety precautions. I want you as safe as you can be.
His statement was concluded by saying, “When it’s safe and we can all have fun together in the most favorable circumstances.”
Elton, his husband David Furnish and his private jet were seen arriving at Atlanta last week.
He was expected to travel across North America up until April.
He will then travel to Europe, back to North America and play in Australia and New Zealand next.
Rocket Man is set to end the European leg of his tour in 2023.
