It’s said the female cast member at the centre of the race row is continuing to film ‘as normal’, though she wishes she ‘wasn’t entangled in it’.
The publication reports the ‘issue is far from solved’ and as two of Emmerdale’s biggest stars their sudden absence from set have cause major ‘production issues’.
Isabel and Matthew both got involved in Super Soap Week in October. In it, their characters fell into the rapids when the rope bridge gave way.
However, since Matthew and Isabel are no longer with us, scripts have been ‘hastily’ rewritten, which can cause some confusion for those who watch.
According to the bosses, they had intended to make this storyline prominent, but it was difficult for writers because both of these characters were not on screen for an unspecified time.
The pair were last seen onscreen on October 28, with the onscreen lovers heading off to visit Victoria’s stepmother Diana Blackstock in Portugal.
