Fans have slammed Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline after he claimed her father Jamie Spears ‘saved her life’ with her controversial conservatorship.
In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia Sunday night, Britney’s former backup dancer of 44 years stated that the decision, which leaves Britney 40 without control of her finances, career, or life, was necessary.
“This was really poor research. It is completely incorrect. This is a edited account of the circumstances from the perspective that helped, controlled and profited from conservatorship. It is very toxic,” one viewer said in a tweet.
Viewers slam Britney Spears’ ex husband Kevin Federline, as he revealed to 60 Minutes that Jamie Federline was the one who saved her life with conservatorship.
“Believing that man is right for you is a mistake. Kevin only worries about money. Britney’s downward spiral was caused by him. Kevin is only interested in making money from Britney. Another agreed that he doesn’t care much about Britney’s wellbeing.
A third wrote: ‘You choose to stay ignorant because it makes you feel better about your involvement in the conservatorship. You were the one who kept her inside it.
It’s really bad. You make the conservatorship look justified. They took hundreds of thousands from her. Another commented, “It’s fraud and slavery.”

During the interview, Federline was asked if Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, 70, made the right decision in enacting the conservatorship.
Federline stated, “One hundred percent, I feel like that he saved his back then,” during candid conversation.
He claimed that he didn’t participate in any details regarding conservatorships and was not privy to their final motivations.
Federline was asked by the program if Britney’s father Jamie made the right choice in creating conservatorship. He said that he felt like he had saved Britney’s life back then.
I was not part of how it came to be. What I do not know is the truth. The couple were concerned about their little girl and tried to do everything they could to help. “That’s all I knew,” he said.
The former performer says the couple’s sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, were ‘happy’ for their mother when her conservatorship ended.
“Both of them were so happy to see her. Because it is not always about right. It is about “Mum wanted this, and mum got it,” he stated.
Federline, however, admitted that he didn’t participate in the decisions concerning conservatorships and was not privy to their final motivation.
Kevin felt it was important that his boys have close relations with Britney’s grandparents Jamie (67), and Lynne (67).
They are the immediate relatives of my children, they know. He explained that it was their grandfather, grandmother, and uncle.
“I think it is important to build relationships with them all, regardless of the circumstances.”
