Thierry Mugler was a French fashion designer who made iconic designs that were loved by Hollywood royalty, including Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Beyonce.
Mugler’s official Instagram profile confirmed that he died Sunday night.
“#RIP” The post said, “We are deeply sorry to inform you of the death of Manfred Thierry Murgler Sunday 23 January 2022.” His soul may rest in peace.
The cause of his death is unknown.
Mugler dressed some of the top names in fashion and showbiz. He even retired in 2019 in order to wear Kardashian at the Met Gala.

Mugler’s line of perfumes is still popular. In June 2020, Mugler released Angel Nova, his most recent perfume.
In the 1980s and 1990s, he was well-known for his distinctive designs that were seen everywhere from stage to runway.
He also helped to open the door for transgender models. Mugler even used them on his 1984 stage show.
Angel was his first fragrance, and it was released in 1992. Barbara Walters and Hillary Clinton were said to have preferred Angel.
