Holly was 30,430 votes behind. Bear 747 received 37,940 votes.
This competition will crown the chunkiest animal in hibernation.

After organizers discovered more than 7,700 fake votes, Bear 747 was declared the true winner of the semi-final bracket in 2022 Fat Bear Week.

Numerous Twitter users were saddened by Holly’s passing, as she was the Fat Bear Week champion for 2019, but could not help but to draw parallels between the 2018 election and the 2020 one.
Liz St Clair tweeted: “NOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I was so happy Holly was leading. It’s like I want to storm the national parks Jan 6, 2013.
HottenAnnie, another Twitter user joined the fun and tweeted: ‘Careful. We don’t want people violently storming the park.
Others tweeted, “STOP STEAL” and “STOP COUNT,” the phrases that ex-President Donald Trump used to win against Joe Biden.
Bear 747 moves onto the semi-final round of the annual competition hosted by the Katmai National Park. After Monday’s vote count, Bear 747 will face his opponent.
Twitter users took to Twitter to mock the cheating scandal. They compared it to the contentious 2020 election.
Bear 747 is now victorious and will compete against the winner in Monday’s election.
As he was preparing for hibernation, the bear, weighing in at around 1,400 lbs, was seen fishing every day at Brooks Falls from late June to mid-September.
Rangers from the park pointed out that 747 is the dominant bear in forest. Bears fight for dominance, but they say 747 holds his position ‘by sheer weight alone.
