While Prince Andrew and his family enjoyed their New Year’s ski holiday, the Duke of York kept it low at the Queen’s Windsor estate.
As they were getting ready to go on the slopes, Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi chatted with the Duchess of York.
They enjoyed sunshine at Verbier, Switzerland with Edo and Christopher Wolfe (known as Wolfie).
Beatrice was accompanied by Eugenie Brooksbank (her sister) and Jack Brooksbank (her husband).
The families celebrated the New Year together at the Duke of York’s £17million luxury chalet – which was thought to be up for sale earlier this year – that overlooks the exclusive resort.
Prince Andrew, meanwhile is getting ready for Tuesday’s court hearing in New York City. This will decide whether or not the Virginia Giuffre case against him will be heard.
Despite the scandals, The Duchess Of York is still there to support her husband.

It comes as Prince Andrew’s effort to block the progression of the lawsuit on the grounds that she no longer lives in the US – was rejected by a federal judge.
Friday’s written order by Judge Lewis A. Kaplan required the Prince’s lawyers to hand over all documents pertaining to the August case brought forward by Ms Roberts.
According to her, the prince abused her on numerous occasions in 2001. She was also being sexually abused at the time by Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew Brettler (the prince’s lawyer) has dismissed the suit as ‘baseless.
Three days prior to the public release of the 2009 settlement agreement between Epstein & Giuffre, this order was filed.
Andrew lawyers argue that the agreement is sufficient to protect Andrew from Giuffre-type claims and can be used as a basis for dismissing the suit.

Lawyers for the prince claimed that Giuffre is not a resident of the US and that there was no need to share evidence with him until the question was resolved. If it does, it may result in dismissal.
Giuffre lives with her Australian husband in Perth and has three children.
Sigrid McCawley, Giuffre’s attorney, said that the request to halt his case was “just another tired attempt by Prince Andrew to dodge and skirt the legal merits in the Virginia Giuffre case against him.”
Every party in litigation is subject to discovery, and Prince Andrew does not exempt.
Kaplan noted in one page that the lawyers of the prince have asked that Giuffre turn over ‘extensive materials’ by January 14. This includes documents related to her past lives.
The prince said his attorneys had not raised objections to the fact that the lawsuit could not proceed because Giuffre was living and working in Australia, rather than Colorado. Giuffre’s lawyers claim that she is an American resident.
Prince Andrew and his family acted together as they were seen for the first times since Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction for sex trading. Yesterday, the Duchess of York joined her daughter Beatrice and Eugenie with their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (Switzerland) and Jack Brooksbank for a walk in Verbier.
Yesterday’s five (left to right: Edo, Beatrice and Duchesss of York), seemed to be happy despite growing scandal over the Duke of York’s involvement with Virginia Giuffre, a victim of sextrafficking.

Prince Andrew saw the world for the first-time since Ghislaine Maxwell, his friend was convicted of child sexual trafficking.
Virginia Giuffre, the 17-year-old woman who claimed she was forced into sleeping with Prince Andrew at age 17, could now be asked to make a victim impact statement before a New York court for Ghislaine Maxwell’s sentencing. David Boies is her lawyer.
Giuffre’s address was Penrose, Colorado, on the front page of a September 2015 lawsuit.
The April 2019 suit cover letter listed Palm Cove as her address and indicated that she was a ‘citizen/subject of a foreign country’.
However, in her suit against the prince she listed Ocean Reef, Western Australia as her address, and checked a box that stated ‘citizens of another state’.
Kaplan’s Order did not express any opinion about the merits or the claims of the Prince that Giuffre should cease to sue because she resides in Australia.
On Monday morning, oral arguments by video conference on the request of the prince to dismiss the case will be held.
The suit was defended by the lawyers of the prince on several grounds. Giuffre claimed that Andrew had falsely accused him because he “never sexually assaulted or abused” her.
“Giuffre” has filed this absurd lawsuit against Prince Andrew in order to make another profit at his expense, and the expense of his closest friends.
Epstein’s use of Giuffre is not justifiable,” the written arguments claimed.
Epstein committed suicide in Manhattan’s federal prison in August 2019, while he was awaiting his trial for sex trafficking.
Following a one-month trial, Maxwell’s ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of conspiracy and sex traficking.
