A five-year-old British woman has been killed in a tragic accident on a ski slope within the French Alps.
The younger woman was collaborating in a lesson on the piste when a skier careered into her at excessive velocity yesterday morning.
Tragically she died as she was being transported to hospital by helicopter.
Final night time a 40-year-old native man was in police custody and an investigation was opened for manslaughter.
The horrific accident occurred yesterday at round 11am within the ski resort of Flaine, within the Haute-Savoie area of the French Alps, 50 miles from the Swiss metropolis of Geneva.

The woman was on the Serpentine ski run which is classed as ‘blue’, which means a simple slope.
