Florida sheriffs have been searching for three men caught in a home with a gun and later carrying a weapon from an alleged drugs den.
Xavier Antonio Johnson from St. Petersburg was 29, and he had rented an apartment in Davenport (85 miles east) on April 8.
According to Polk County deputies, Johnson and his associates had been selling marijuana from the Acorn Court house, situated in a scenic, tree-lined cul-de sac in the small Central Florida town, which boasts just 9,000 residents.
On April 13, at roughly 8:30 pm, three unknown men entered the house – one of them carrying a gun – and shot Johnson, according to deputies.
Three men then carried Johnson’s body from the house and were caught on video.

Surveillance camera footage shows the wanted men carrying Johnson out of Davenport.

They carry their victim out with them – one carrying him behind and the other two holding his arms.

Johnson was also laid down by the trio. The body’s fate is unknown.
Tweeted the Sheriff’s Office: “We’re searching the identities of 3 men in a Homicide Investigation,”
The trio published still photographs and video footage of them leaving the house, as well as carrying the bodies.
“Here are photographs of three unidentified men that we would like to speak with about the homicide committed by 29-year-old Xavier Johnson,” the office posted on Facebook.
‘According to the investigation so far, Johnson and his associates had been selling marijuana from the house since April 8, 2022, when they took occupancy,’ the sheriff’s office added in a separate release sent to DailyMail.com Saturday evening.
“Around 8:30 PM on April 13, unknown suspects entered the home and shot the victim. The suspect was carrying a gun.

DailyMail.com was questioned by a spokesperson for the department about Saturday’s case. She stated that they were unable to provide additional details at the moment.
Grady Judd (68 years old sheriff) has been with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office since 1972. In 2020, he was the first Polk County sheriff to be elected for five terms in its 160-year history.
The sheriffs posted details about the manhunt via Facebook Saturday. Residents replied with the following: ‘Grady’ll find them’
In a second comment, the department explained how the public could help. It wrote: “With ongoing criminal investigation we are very careful with what information (and photos, and videos) that we release.
“These are photos of three men that we would like to recognize – we have shown pictures of one who carries the crossbody bag in two diff [sic] photos so that you can see his arm tattoo (it doesn’t show in the photo where he has the bag).
He is the one with no facial hair. Refer back to the video and you’ll see all three of them.’

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is looking for this man who was seen entering the Davenport House on April 13.

Two and three men are being sought in connection to the murder of April 13, 2013.
