Following the passing of Taylor Hawkins, 50-year-old drummer for The Foo Fighters, all scheduled tour dates have been cancelled by them.
On Tuesday afternoon the band shared their announcement on social media.
The statement stated that Foo Fighters had announced the cancellation of all scheduled tour dates due to the tragic loss of Taylor Hawkins.

The statement continued: ‘We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned.’
“Instead let’s use this time to mourn, heal, pull close our loved ones, and appreciate the music and shared memories that we have made. Foo Fighters, with love.
Taylor’s fellow bandmates, Pat Smear and Nate Mendel along with Rami Jaffee, Chris Schiflett, announced the news through their official social channels.
They are expected to perform again on April 3, at the Grammy Awards. It’s not clear if they will be performing.
After the Grammys, they were scheduled to tour around the world.
Taylor, RIP. Taylor was killed in a “cardiovascular accident” while on tour in Colombia.

Taylor was traveling with the group in Colombia at the time of his death.
Forensic experts are said to have discovered it weighed ‘at least 600 grams’, double the average of 300 to 350 grams, during an examination following his shocking death.
According to respected Colombian newspaper Semana, investigators concluded that the 50-year old suffered a cardiovascular collapse after binging on drugs.
The drummer passed away in Bogota’s hotel room.

Luis Carlos Velez (a well-known Colombian journalist) claimed that Hawkins was being questioned by police after he entered Hawkins’ bedroom at Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina. He said that he had seen a white powder resembling cocaine.
The AGO, however, did not include cocaine in the post-autopsy report.
Taylor complained of chest pains Friday night before the band performed at Bogota’s Estereo Picnic festival.
The city’s health secretary said that his condition continued to deteriorate and that efforts were made to revive him using a private doctor or city emergency personnel failed.
“The emergency room doctor indicated they had performed the appropriate resuscitation procedures.” The city’s health secretary stated, “There was no response, and the patient was declared to be dead.”
The band had been touring South America prior to Taylor’s death. They performed at Lollapalooza Argentina, Buenos Aires, on Sunday, March 20, Taylor’s final performance.
Friday was supposed to see the Foo Fighters perform at Festival Estereo Picnic, Bogota. But that show was cancelled right before his funeral announcement.
Also, they were scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza (Sao Paulo) on Sunday March 27, but this was cancelled after his death two days before.
Our beloved Taylor Hawkins is tragically lost. We will always remember his infectious laugh and musical energy. We are thinking of his family and his children. They have sent a statement via Twitter on Friday, informing us that he had died.

Statement from Friday: ‘The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins’
One day following Taylor’s passing, Dave was seen crying and hugging his bandmates on Saturday at LAX.
Grohl called Hawkins his best friend and partner in crime. He described Hawkins, his memoir, as someone who brought joy to rooms through his bubbly personality and constant smile.
Photographs of Pat and Chris, as well as Rami the keyboardist and Samantha Sidley as background singers were taken at their arrival.
The band arrived back to the states via a private plane.

Hawkins was a father of three and suffered from a heroin overdose that put him in a two-week-long coma in London.
Last year, he said that everyone has their own paths and that it was too much. One night I was out partying in London and made a mistake that changed everything.
‘I believed the bull***t myth of live hard and fast, die young.
‘I’m not here to preach about not doing drugs, because I loved doing drugs, but I just got out of control for a while and it almost got me.’
Taylor is survived his wife Alison Hawkins who he wed in 2005. They have three children, Oliver, 16 and Annabelle 13, as well as Everleigh, 8.
