“Sonny, I love you!” Delilah, a four-year-old Spurs fan is thrilled when Son Heungmin waves at her in cute footage

Here is how a Spurs fan aged four was thrilled to see Son Heungmin wave at her.

Delilah Thorpe was sure she went unnoticed when she shouted ‘Sonny, I love you!’ to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium footballer. He smiled and waved his hand. 

A young Spurs fan responded with a happy grin, exclaiming that he “waved at” her in an adorable video made by Demiee’s mother on the Spurs match against West Ham. It was recorded on 22 December.

Delilah thought she had gone unnoticed but Son he sent his own wave a smile her way

Delilah assumed she went unnoticed. But Son waved a smile his way and sent his love. 

Demiee posted a sweet clip of Delilah screaming out for Son, who appears to be prepping for the game. She then turns her back to her mother dejectedly and states that ‘he cannot hear me.’

Demiee encouragedly responded: “He did, but he’s quite busy.”

Soon after Son Heungmin had passed the pitch again, Delilah received a call from him with a wave, and then he ran along.

With a big smile on her face and a happy laugh, the four-year old was giddy.

The Spurs won the game by 2-1 with goals scored by Steven Bergwijn (Lucas Moura) and Lucas Moura (Spurs).

This video, which is a feel-good story about happiness and joy has been shared across social media accounts to get thousands of hits.

The original Instagram video received comments calling the interaction “adorable” and “precious”.

Delilah stated in the captions that she couldn’t believe what was happening. Her expression was beautiful.

“She’s never missed a television game, and it was amazing to see her taking in every moment of it.

“She was excited to take Nuno’s place. She walked through the tunnel and touched the ground, which made my heart melt.
