Colorado musician, John Dewey, captured his incredible performance with his banjo.
Footage shows Andy Thorn playing his instrument to the enchanted animal in front of a sunset in Boulder, Colorado.
The Americana player said he was ‘testing out some new material’ on the fox, and he was so impressed that he ‘came back for an encore’.
However, this wasn’t the first time the fox had shown up to one of Andy’s outdoor jam sessions.
Andy from Leftover Salmon had formed a close friendship with the Fox over the pandemic. He kept coming up to Andy to listen.
He’s posted multiple videos to his YouTube channel ‘ThornHub,’ and this clip is the most popular with over 16,000 views.
Kelly Clarkson Show: It’s been truly amazing. The Boulder foothills offer a great deal of open space, which makes it a very lucky place to be able to keep animals happy.
“When the pandemic struck, we lived at home and would sit around banjo playing every day.

Andy Thorn recorded this moment when a curious fox that Thorn had beenfriended sat down and listened as he played his banjo in front of his Boulder home.
We thought the fox had wandered in one day and that it was sweet. But then, another day when I was out on the rocks and he came right up to me, he just looked at me while I was banjo playing.
“It was just the most cool thing.”
Andy calls the animal Foxy and has created a song about how he loves eating rodents.
Thorn claims he’s written many more songs about the Fox, some of which are from his perspective.

Americana’s player stated that he was “testing some new material” on the Fox and was so impressed, he “came back for another.”
According to his website, Andy first started playing the banjo aged just 12 years old, and bought his first instrument at his neighbor’s yard sale in a moment of inspiration.
While unable to tour with Leftover Salmon, Andy took to sitting out on his 25-by-12-foot deck at his home in the foothills of Boulder, where he first encountered Foxy.
Since then, he has used the deck to stream live music and hosts a Tiny Deck Concert series.
Fans have left hundreds of compliments and comments on the clips of him with “Foxy” in their videos.
