George Galloway says his Scottish daughter was told to ‘get back to England, you English c***’ while carrying her baby as she shopped in Tesco.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Dumfries supermarket on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Galloway,  a former Labour MP, who is now leader of the Workers Party of Britain, said his daughter, Lucy, the eldest child from his first marriage, ‘drove 500 miles to spend time, and money, in Scotland’.

To get police’s attention, he took to Twitter and described the woman he was allegedly abusing as a “young well-dressed lady”.

The 67-year-old wrote: ‘My daughter – carrying her baby! – was told to ‘get back to England, you English c***’ in your Dumfries store @Tesco at 12.50pm today.

“I have an image of the racial abuser she has taken. This will not be allowed to happen. This is not the kind of father I am. @PoliceScotland @DumfriesGPolice @scotgov’

Mr Galloway said his daughter, Lucy (pictured), the eldest child from his first marriage, 'drove 500 miles to spend time, and money, in Scotland'

According to Mr Galloway, his oldest child, Lucy, from his first marriage (pictured), he travelled 500 miles in order to visit Scotland with his daughter Lucy.

Since Tuesday afternoon’s posting, the tweet was shared many times. Mr Galloway also followed up on it with several other messages.

In response to a follower who suggested to him that Lucy should have told the alleged abuser to ‘f*** off’, he replied: ‘She said: ‘actually I’m Scottish, not that this makes a difference’. You should’ve said the same thing!

He also wrote: ‘I’m dismayed at the Nationalist response to my daughter’s ordeal today,

“It’s not only venality they display, but it’s also stupidity. Their denial, concealment and even encouragement of their inhumanity are POURING evidence that their civic nationalism is simply a fraud.

Then he added, “Nationalismis the socialism for fools.” That is something liberals and leftists should have understood. The Separatists ARE NOT progressive. It’s just lipstick on an older pig.

The February 2021 Scottish Government hate crime statistics revealed that 7% of hate crimes racially aggravated were committed by someone of other white British origin.

In 2018-19, this equates roughly to 230 criminal acts. The perpetrator showed prejudice against members of the English community in 68%.
