A tank that rolled over their car during an exercise has caused the deaths of a German soldier as well as a civilian.
A battle tank and a smaller military vehicle collided during a military exercise at the Bergen-Hohne Training Area in the German state of Lower Saxony at around 3.20pm on Tuesday.
Local news reports claim that the tank crashed on top of an off-road vehicle, crushing the victims. One of them was the driver of the vehicle.

Two civilian workers and a soldier were both killed at the scene.
It The exact cause of the accident remains a mystery, as it is still not known what caused the incident.
German Ministry of Defence stated that personnel felt ‘deep sorrow’ for the tragic incident.
MoD posted: “We are deeply sorry. Two people were killed in an accident that occurred at Bergen’s training facility this afternoon.

General Alfons Mais the Inspector of German Army added that: “Our thoughts, our sympathy, and our prayers are with bereaved parents and troops on-site.”
Annegret KrampKarrenbauer, Federal Minister of Defence, also offered her condolences for the loved ones.
She stated that she was deeply saddened by the deaths of two Bundeswehr soldiers in a tragic accident.
“My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to the loved ones of those who have been killed.”
It happened while Kramp-Karrenbauer was transitioning ministerial responsibilities over to Christine Lambrecht.
The tragic accident meant that an event featuring Thomas Silberhorn, State Secretary, had to be cancelled on short notice according to Tag 24.
The military continues to investigate the accident, but it is not clear.
