The murder of his family by a German teacher and the subsequent shooting with an illegal gun, after his wife’s bosses learned that he had falsified her vaccination pass. They threatened to ‘rigorously pursuit’ him.

The 40-year-old, identified only as Devid R., was found dead alongside wife Linda, also 40, and daughters Leni, 10, Janni, eight, and Rubi, three, at their house in Senzig, 20 miles south of Berlin, on Saturday.

Devid is believed to be a vocational teacher who shot his wife, daughters and then turned the firearm on himself. Prosecutors have stated that Devid shot his wife and daughters using the illegal firearm, before turning it on himself.

He left behind a lengthy note in which he talked about faking a vaccine passport for his wife who worked at the Technical University in nearby Wildau, before the forgery was uncovered by her bosses who threatened to ‘rigorously pursue’ the case.

According to investigators, Devid was worried that his wife or he would go to prison and take their children away. Although Germany’s Covid law allows for the imposition of a vaccine pass in Germany, it is not allowed to be sentenced. Lawyers say that this would have been impossible.

The two 40-year-olds and the three children they were with, who are all aged between four and eight years, were shot to death in their family home at Koenigs Wusterhausen, south of Berlin.

Devin’s brutal murders may have stemmed from the university’s threat to take action.

Prosecutor Gernot Bantleon told Bild: In [the letter]He wrote literally that university officials wanted to investigate the forgery of vaccination passports “with all the rigor possible.”

Linda’s fake vaccine pass was brought up by the university chiefs, who required her to make a written statement.

Bild received word from lawyers that Devid was likely to have had to pay a penalty in his job as vocational school teacher for forging the pass.

However, the lawyers stated that any punishment other than the one prescribed was highly unlikely. It is also almost impossible to believe the children would have been taken away if the parents did not have any history of domestic violence.

Investigative efforts are ongoing to find out how long they had been dead, before concerned neighbors discovered their remains.

Angela Merkel tightened Germany’s Covid laws, closing down large areas of society to those who are not vaccinated for Covid or have recovered from an illness. People will need to present health certificates to gain access to public places.
