Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother today insists that his sister is innocent. He also claims she was wrongly called a ‘monster’ because Jeffrey Epstein, her ex-boyfriend and sex offender, is dead.
Ian Maxwell claims he “bets” his sister and “regrets” her relationship with the paedophile financier. He was discovered dead in prison while waiting for a sextrafficking trial.
The 59-year-old socialite and heiress is currently facing her own US court trial. She was accused of procuring and abusing young girls to be used by Epstein.
Maxwell spoke for the first-time from New York in an exclusive interview that was published by the Mail on Sunday. faces a maximum of 80 years in prison if she is found guilty.
Today, however, her brother Robert Maxwell (a businessman) insists that she is innocent. He is also the son of a disgraced newspaper tycoon.
Ranvir Singh, Good Morning Britain’s Political Editor, said today in an exclusive interview that he believed Epstein would have wished she had never met her sister.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s brother insists his sister innocence and says she is wrongly portrayed as a ‘monster’ because Jeffrey Epstein her ex-boyfriend, sex offenders, has passed away. Left: Maxwell during her imprisonment in 2010, Maxwell in 2010.

Maxwell’s brother Ian, a businessman, is pictured today. He is, like Maxwell, the son of Robert Maxwell (late disgraced newspaper tycoon), and has launched an intense defense of Maxwell.

Ian Maxwell claims he “bets” his sister that he regrets her relationship to Jeffrey Epstein, a paedophile financier (pictured), who was discovered dead in prison while waiting for sex trafficking trials.

Prince Andrew the Duke of York, is seen driving by Windsor Castle in Berkshire. Maxwell’s trial will see the start of jury selection later in today.
“I believe she must be regretting that relationship. Because of the amount of media coverage, documentaries, and podcasts that have painted my sister as an evil monster today, it’s important that this jury be impartial.
“She is a cardboard monster, two-dimensional, and 3D, but she’s not my girl.”
She answered that Maxwell wasn’t guilty because he knew his sister well.
Maxwell also responded to Virginia Giuffre’s allegations – better known as Virginia Roberts, who alleges Maxwell and Epstein enlisted and later trafficked Virginia when she was 17 years old.
Ms Roberts asserts that she was “sex trafficked” to Prince Andrew, twice in London and once in the United States. This claim is strongly denied by the Duke.
Ms. Roberts has filed suit against the Prince in an individual civil case that the prince is currently planning to contest.
A photograph taken in London showed Prince Andrew holding a hand to a young Ms Roberts, while Maxwell stood next to it.

Ms Roberts asserts that she was’sex-trampled’ three times to Prince Andrew, once in London. This claim the Duke of York strongly denies. Picture taken in London shows Prince Andrew seeming to have his hand wrapped around Ms Roberts as he stands next to Maxwell.

Ms Maxwell, who faces the rest of her life behind bars if convicted of abusing and procuring young girls for billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein (above, with Ghislaine in 2005) – charges that she vehemently denies – claims that a ‘friendly rat’ routinely sat next to her on an open sewer as she went to the toilet

The Ghislaine is now 59 and far from the glamour woman of the past. She was a regular on the international social circuit where she met world leaders like Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, and became close friends with Prince Andrew. Today’s prisoner 02879-509 wears the same shapeless outfits as the designer ones. (Above: Ghislaine and Epstein with Bill Clinton 1993
Today, however, Maxwell dismissed the photo, claiming that it had ‘never be authenticated’.
He told Good Morning Britain that he believes the photograph has never been hung up.
He stated that the photograph had never been authenticated. The only thing I can tell you is that this photograph was never authenticated. It is not possible to allow for presumption or innocence.
He replied to questions about the claims made by Ms Roberts: “I think they’re exactly what we are.” Allegations.’
After the interview ended, Ms. Singh said that Mr Maxwell told her his sister that he had gotten’swept up in Epstein’ anger.
She stated, “I spoke with him.” [Ian]He was very emotional for around an hour. At one point, he broke down crying.
He said Ghislaine is caught up in the Me Too movement.
“Secondly Epstein is dead. All the anger that ought to have been directed at him is now directed towards her.
It comes as Maxwell spoke out for the first time about her ‘living hell’ behind bars – claiming that she has been assaulted and abused by prison guards, purposely deprived of sleep and given rotting food to eat.
In a world exclusive, published in the Mail on Sunday, Maxwell, who had her £21 million bail application denied for the fourth time last week, also claims negative media coverage while she has been in custody and the deliberate withholding of evidence have made it ‘impossible’ for her to receive a fair trial.
Maxwell, speaking from her 10-foot-by-12-foot prison cell in New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center where she spent 16 months in isolation, said that: “I’ve been assaulted, abused, and detained for nearly a year.”
‘I have never eaten a healthy dinner in my entire life. I haven’t slept without lights on – fluorescent lights that have damaged my eyes – or been allowed to sleep without constant interruptions.
‘I am weak, I am frail. I lack stamina. I am tired. Even my shoes don’t fit me properly. I eat rotten food. One of the apples contained maggots. I was not allowed to exercise.
Maxwell said in the interview her life had been a living hell ever since more than 20 armed FBI agents swooped on her 156-acre, £800,000 New Hampshire home in July 2020.

Ms Maxwell smiles despite the grim circumstances. (Above is the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn
Ever since she was taken into custody, her diet consisted mainly of beans and rice with unsalted peanuts and mayonnaise as a fat.
The arrest of Maxwell came eleven months after Epstein was her longtime boyfriend and friend. He had been in prison for child sex offences while Epstein was being tried. Maxwell hadn’t been charged with a crime until Epstein’s suicide.
The lawyer for Epstein will argue that she is being penalized by proxy because someone has to pay.
Maxwell shared this with friends: “I fear that it will prove impossible to obtain a fair trial. The overwhelming negative media coverage that Maxwell has heard will affect my jury pool, and the outcome of my trial. This is despite all the evidence that will prove that the jury didn’t know the truth.
“I’m looking forward to my chance to stand in front of the judge to show that I was not involved in Epstein’s crimes.”
On the advice of her strong legal team, she is unable to discuss details of the case. The jury selection process begins tomorrow and will continue until November 29, when the trial starts. They are very serious charges. The US authorities described her as an ‘inspector’ for underage girls convicted of paedophile Epstein.
Her other felony charges include transporting minors for the purpose of criminal sexual activity and conspiracy to incite minors into engaging in illegal acts.
Prince Andrew and Epstein’s relationships with Maxwell will be brought back to the forefront by Maxwell’s trial.
Virginia Roberts is the Duke of York’s accuser. She claims that Andrew was sex-trafficked three times to her (the first time when she was just 17 years old and the second at the age of consent). Virginia Roberts has promised to be there for the trial.
Andrew denied claims made by Ms Roberts. He has a long-standing friendship with Ghislaine. In Maxwell’s London mews, he was famously seen with his arm wrapped around Ms Roberts waist.
A lawyer who was involved with the case stated that Andrew would be brought back to the forefront. His name will not be presented by Maxwell’s female witnesses. It is impossible. It must have been something he is dreading.
Ghislaine Maxwell was an Oxford-educated child of Robert Maxwell. Since then, the Brooklyn prison has only allowed the public to see court sketches.
Maxwell said that Maxwell hasn’t had enough time to prepare herself for the six week trial. Selection of jurors begins today.
She could spend over 80 years in prison if she’s convicted of the entire charges.
Maxwell claims she received computers that didn’t work and vital paperwork late. Maxwell also claimed that she had no desk for work while at work.
According to her, there is no presumption that a person in detention center is innocent. “Pre-trial defendants such as me who are by law innocent until proven guilty are treated like felons,” she stated.
It is unconstitutional and wrong. Is it possible to find all those who swear to the Constitution’s uphold?

Virginia Roberts, Prince Andrew’s accuser is likely to be present at the trial. She may also give evidence. Maxwell has been described by her as “pure evil” and she said that Epstein was a sick paedophile, but Maxwell was his mastermind.(She can be seen leaving the US Federal Courthouse in NY, August 2019,)

Maxwell could face a maximum sentence of 80 years imprisonment if she is found guilty of procuring and abusing young girls for Jeffrey Epstein, her ex-boyfriend. (Pictured : Maxwell in an artist’s drawing being taken to the courtroom on November 1st)
Her greatest fear is that she will not be able to find impartial jurors. The case is still being covered in America, and she’s often called ‘Epstein’s madam’ or ‘Epstein’s socialite-partner-in-crime’.
She objected: “Being called a’socialite” feels derogatory, sexist and meant to portray me in a negative way.
“I have worked all my life. I started with part-time work when I was 15. A man with a similar career in the workplace would not be considered a socialite.
“I feel overwhelmed by sadness and shock over the untrue and gross narratives. They are completely fabricated and have no relation to reality.
“I am afraid that the negative media coverage of my case will affect my jury pool, and the outcome of my trial. This is despite all the evidence I believe will support my innocence.
“I am looking forward to my court appearance to show that I did not participate in Epstein’s crimes.” I am innocent.’
World on Scent: Lookalikes are a problem. Ghislaine Maxwell was one of the most wanted women in the world and she was hiding out in America. Her team hired DOUBLES, her brother Kevin, and took a walk around Paris with them – which then got tipped off by photographers
Stepping furtively through the streets of Paris, her face mysteriously shrouded, the figure in the heavy shawl was bound to attract attention – and so it proved.
This was only months after Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide. And the woman who seemed so anxious to avoid attention bore a remarkable resemblance to Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell – now the most hunted woman on the planet. Did she flee from America for France?
Epstein’s death in New York in August 2019 was the catalyst for attention to shift towards Ghislaine her long-time partner. She had not been charged with any crime. Victims of Epstein accused her of being a ‘madam’ – claims she vehemently denies and will vigorously contest in court when her trial begins later this month.

A Ghislaine and brother Kevin lookalike (pictured) in Paris to dupe the world’s media and help her keep a low profile
Today, for the first time, we can reveal the lengths that Ghislaine went to in order to keep a low profile – which included the extraordinary tactic of hiring ‘lookalikes’ to stroll through Paris to dupe the world’s media.
In an exclusive interview, British security expert Matt Hellyer, a decorated former Paratrooper who headed the crack security team staffed with ex-SAS members that guarded the heiress for a year, said: ‘We went to an agency in France. An agency that collaborates with security. We were able to find two individuals who looked like Ghislaine or her brother Kevin.
‘They strolled in Paris for a couple of days and we leaked it to a newspaper. We did this to distract from Ghislaine’s real location. At all times, she was in the US.
‘Ghislaine was not running from the authorities, she was running from the media.
‘And, you know, many people don’t believe Epstein killed himself. So we were also hired to protect her from a potential killer.’

A friend of Ghislaine’s brother Kevin (pictured ) Mr Hellyer, was hired within hours of Epstein’s death to ‘get her out of her home’
The astonishing details of Ghislaine Maxwell’s year-long cat and mouse ‘game’ can be revealed for the first time today.
She insists that, far from ‘being on the run’ as many have accused her of being, she was, in fact, available at all times to the American authorities had they wished to question her.
Instead, she says, the FBI staged a dramatic early-morning raid on her final hideaway – an £800,000 estate in New Hampshire – to gain maximum publicity and paint her in the worst light possible.
Mr Hellyer, a friend of Ghislaine’s brother Kevin, was hired within hours of Epstein’s death.
At the time, Ghislaine was living in a secluded £3 million ocean-front property in Manchester-by-Sea, Massachusets, with her husband Scott Borgerson, the couple’s dogs and Scott’s two children.
In his first interview for a new documentary Ghislaine, which will air in the UK and US after her November 29 trial ends, Mr Hellyer said: ‘Our assignment was to get her out of her home within 12 hours of Epstein’s death. She was worried about Scott’s kids.
‘She didn’t want the cameras around them or anything to happen that could affect their lives. She asked me if we could immediately fly her out. She refused.’
Ghislaine was denied bail this week for the fourth consecutive time. She claims that she did not intend to leave the US. Why would she flee the US?
Her youngest alleged victim was just 14 years old. She claims she’s innocent of the charges that she procured young women for Epstein, and engaged in sexual assaults of them. She was 14 years old when her youngest victim is alleged to be.
Ghislaine opted to remain in the States despite having US, French and UK passports. This is something that her supporters and she insist proves she doesn’t have anything to hide.
But she was constantly on the move, from one ‘safe house’ to another, as she tried to outrun the media.
Mr Hellyer recalled: ‘Scott felt he could protect her but we convinced him she had to go. From then on, it was, “Where in the world is Ghislaine?” Everyone was speculating.
‘We did not hide her from the authorities. They knew that at any point if they wanted to talk to Ghislaine we would bring her safely to them.’
Indeed, Ghislaine’s legal team claim they reached out to the FBI – but never heard back.
Some media outlets offered readers lucrative ‘bounties’ for the first pictures of the elusive heiress.
Ghislaine was once photographed in front of an In-N-Out hamburger joint in Los Angeles. It was bizarre that she was actually reading The Book of Honour: The Secret Lives & Deaths of CIA Operatives.
According to reports at the time, a stunned fellow diner asked: ‘Are you who I think you are?’ to which she replied: ‘Yes, I am.’
Some claimed the photograph was fake, while others said it was because of a poster at a bus station behind her that had been taken long before the photo was published. According to the bus stop hoarding agency, the posters were removed years ago.
Yet Ghislaine really was in Los Angeles – staying at the home of an old friend. It was a stunt, or?
Mr Hellyer says not, adding: ‘We had to move her immediately after that photo came out.’
Ghislaine continued to move, even though speculations about whereabouts were high.
Everybody had a theory. Each one was wilder than others. The New York Post reported that she could have been on an Israeli submarine or in Israel (she is qualified to pilot submersibles). There were rumours she was with Epstein’s friend, former model agent Jean-Luc Brunel, in Brazil.
Did she work as a Mossad secret agent? Mossad is an Israeli intelligence agency that was linked to Robert Maxwell, a disgraced newspaper tycoon. Did it really turn out that she was escorted away by Israeli agents in the middle of the night?
There were theories that she was holed up in a private villa in the South of France, had been ‘hidden’ by South African supporters deep in the bush, and even that she was in an underground bunker owned by rich and powerful friends who were terrified of the secrets she might ‘spill’ if she chose to tell all.
There were sightings in New Zealand, the Caribbean, London… and, yes, Paris.
The Sun reported she was seen at the scene and that she claimed to be able to identify herself from her distinctive signet rings.
‘She rarely went out, but when she did, she wore a large patterned blanket which she pulled tightly around her face and draped across her shoulders,’ it said.
‘She clearly didn’t want to be recognised and was able to blend in.’
It was an excellent ruse. Epstein had an apartment in the Avenue Foch close to the Arc de Triomphe. It is now on the market for £10 million. Ghislaine’s mother is French and Ghislaine was born in France and has French citizenship.
‘Everyone loved the Paris sighting,’ said a source close to the case. ‘Sometimes it’s a matter of giving the people what they want. Everyone was happy for awhile, but the sighting sent dogs running down the wrong path. She never left America.’
Ghislaine actually would be moving from safe to unsafe house under the cover of darkness.
To avoid being tracked, she changed her mobile phone frequently and only spoke to those closest to her.
All she had to buy was cash. But by early last year, she was tired of being, in effect, ‘homeless’.
Mr Hellyer said: ‘She missed her family. She was becoming tired. She needed a home.’
Ghislaine told her security team: ‘Enough running!’ A refuge was found in the sleepy town of Bradford, New Hampshire, an hour’s drive away from the home she shared with her husband and stepchildren.
It was a peaceful spot in rural woods that she could relax, and it allowed her to stop running.
Mr Hellyer said: ‘She and Scott and the kids reunited at weekend. The family and her pets were brought to our home. They were able to be a real, loving family.’
However, everything changed on July 2, 2020.
Ghislaine, her guards and others heard an aircraft fly directly above the property just before 5 a.m.
Mr Hellyer recalled: ‘I immediately knew it was the authorities. The pandemic lockdown was in effect. What small plane could it be unless it was the authorities?’

Mr Hellyer, a friend of Ghislaine’s (pictured in 2013) brother Kevin, was hired within hours of Epstein’s death.
He insists Ghislaine was trained to go to a ‘safe room’ and did not try to flee as FBI agents broke through the door, as authorities claimed in a press conference later that day.
FBI assistant director William Sweeney told assembled reporters: ‘She is one of the villains… who slithered away to a gorgeous property where she was continuing to live a life of privilege while her victims live with the trauma inflicted upon them years ago.’
But Mr Hellyer claimed: ‘She did exactly what she was told by us. She was not able to flee the authorities as others claimed.
‘The moment we identified it was the authorities, she cooperated.
‘She was not handcuffed.
‘She asked to say goodbye to her beloved animals.’
Ghislaine’s brother Ian added: ‘The authorities knew at all times where my sister was, so to have this “big show”, the aeroplanes, the press conference. They were following a plan. Clearly.’
This is an accusation that the FBI refutes. In court filings agents claimed they tracked her via her mobile, which she opened in the name of ‘G Max’ and used to call her sister Isabel.
Ghislaine spent each night behind bars since that time. Within weeks, a jury will decide if she will walk free – or remain locked up for ever.
