Grace was intubated on Christmas Day so her body could fight the virus.
When she awoke, in February she revealed that she suffered from’multiple cardiac arrest and organ failure’. She was also warned by her family she wouldn’t be able to survive.
Speaking out for the first-time about her coma she has revealed what it was like to be in that state and how her life now is with her one year old son.

“The body I own.” However, it is deep within my subconscious where my darkest thoughts are played out. In a London hospital’s intensive care unit, my physical body is connected to monitors.
“I cannot move, fight or scream. “I can’t stop my thoughts from coming up,” she said.
She said that she was “clinging to her life” in hospital.
“People think that being in a Coma means nothing, it’s black. But, it was not.
She spoke about her return from May hospital visit and said she enjoyed the time at home. Lee and her son were also there.

Grace had had mild symptoms at first but her condition started to deteriorate and doctors made the difficult decision to deliver the baby, a boy called Cyprus, on Christmas Eve, two months before his due date

“This was my first day in hospital. This was everything I wanted. It was one of the mundane moments I’d dreamed of from that hospital bed. It was there that I found myself. I’d survived death, I was alive and on my way to a full recovery.
“That night I took Cyprus for a first bath; his legs were soaking in the water. That was an unforgettable moment that marked the beginning of our new routine as a mother and baby. Being a mom is such a blessing.
Grace explained that she loved being pregnant before going into coma.
I tried to not worry about the pandemic. I was unable to do anything except go to appointments alone.
“I was just going with the flow. I did what everyone else was doing – I wore a mask, I washed my hands and barely went outside. Looking back, I chastise myself – did I do enough?
“Maybe it was wrong to leave the house.” It’s natural for women to be prone to blaming others.

Grace Victory’s 30-year-old family has said that Grace’still needs prayer’. This is three weeks after Grace was in a coma after giving birth to her baby boy.

Grace tweeted yesterday with a video detailing her journey as she battled the disease, revealing she had gone into ‘multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest’
Her second question, she said was “Where is my son?”‘.
In March 2021, she tweeted ‘I’m awake,’ but has now revealed that she had been on Twitter and Instagram for weeks before that.
“When you’re at hospital, all hours are just rolling into each other. You can’t see the sun or rain through the windows. Twitter gave me the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself.
When she spoke of her encounter with Cyprus, she said: “I could not stop crying.” He didn’t feel as my baby even though we were reunited. I felt ashamed and guilt at being away from him during his early months.

It was announced in January that the YouTuber, pictured with boyfriend Lee, was placed in an induced coma as she continued to battle Covid-19
Take to Twitter earlier this year. Grace revealed she had gone into ‘multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest’ and her family was warned she most likely wouldn’t survive the virus.
She stated, “My partner was both Mum and Dad.” [to our son]He was instructed to prepare for the worst, because my medical team had given me only a 5% chance at survival.
The video she shared was more detailed about her battle and included clips from time spent in hospital.
The mother wrote that she caught Covid in December 2020 and went into a coma after giving birth shortly thereafter to her baby boy.
“With multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest, my fight for survival was futile. It was impossible for me to leave my child without my Mum and without my husband’s love.
Her mother continued, “I woken up after three months. I was weak and had muscle damage. After some time I was able to hold my baby.
“I shouldn’t be here,” but I am. No words can ever describe the things I have experienced, my feelings, and what I witnessed during my coma. But… I’m alive!’
She shared a photo of herself weeping in hospital and said: “I am healing, I have even taken my first step.” This is your signal to get up!
Grace’s family posted an online reading at the end December: ‘As everyone knows, Grace gave birth to a baby boy on Christmas Eve. He’s doing amazing right now.
“We are so proud of him. Grace was diagnosed with Covid-19 two week ago. Although her symptoms initially were not severe, she began to feel worse as time went by.
“This meant that they needed to have the baby delivered as quickly as possible as the mother was too sick to continue with her pregnancy.
‘Grace was admitted into intensive care on Christmas Day due to issues with her breathing & therefore they had to make the decision of placing her into an induced coma, to give her body the rest it needs, in order to recover.’
The message ended: ‘She’s currently stable but please keep her in your thoughts & prayers.
