Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint  rejoined the Wizarding World as they joined their Harry Potter co-stars in heartwarming scenes from the first official trailer for Return To Hogwarts.

This trailer features Harry Potter’s Hermione Gringer, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter’s Hermione Granger chatting. It was taped at Warner Bros Studio Tour.

You will see stars such as Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes(Voldemort), Gary Oldman (“Sirius Black”) and Tom Felton (“Draco Malfy”) in the film.

 Filmmakers Chris Columbus, David Heyman, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates will also appear.

Emma, 32, says: ‘It feels like no time has passed — and loads of time has passed.’ 

Daniel (32 years old) admits that he was scared by the implication that “the most important thing in our lives had been done” when the series finished. However, he said that seeing all of them at the reunion helped him realize the story because it ‘wasn’t.

Emma said that Harry Potter makes it more enjoyable to live when things are difficult and dark.

Rupert, 33 years old says it is a strong relationship that they will always share as they hug in Gryffindor. 

As Daniel giggles, Helena also wears her Bellatrix crown once more. Ralph admits that his nieces and nephews encouraged Ralph to play the part.        

This comes as the the first official poster for the Harry Potter reunion special has been released, featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint front and centre ahead of filming Return to Hogwarts.

Fans of the franchise will no doubt be delighted to see Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley together once again alongside a host of their wizarding friends.  

The photograph is taken in Hogwarts Great Hall and features Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy, James Phelps and Oliver Phelps as Fred and George Weasley. Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Alfred Enoch and Neville Longbottom also feature.     

One person not included in the poster, however, was Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who has been kept away from the special amid an ongoing transphobia row that has seen her get cancelled.

After fans got a peek at the setup for the special, the first official poster was created.  

These shots showed the actors of the highly-acclaimed fantasy film franchise speaking in front of each other in a setting that resembled Hogwarts.

It was originally announced that the special had been underway last month. The premiere will be on HBO Max in the New Year.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new special ‘will share new details on the production through in-depth interviews and cast conversations.’

Return to Hogwarts will also feature appearances from numerous members of the franchise’s cast, including Helena Bonham Carter, Gary Oldman, Robbie Coltrane and Ralph Fiennes, among others. 

Chris Columbus (director of the first film in series) will appear as well in special. 

Casey Patterson (Hogwarts executive producer) spoke with the media outlet as well and stated that Harry Potter fans would be pleased by the featurette.

“There is magic here, with this extraordinary cast, as all of them return home to Hogwarts where they started twenty years ago,” she stated.

Patterson said that Patterson wanted to give fans who have been following the series for a while an insider’s view into film production. 

She said that the excitement was palpable, as she explained, “The filmmakers are preparing to take their viewers on an extremely special journey through making these amazing films.” 

The trailer was posted on HBO Max’s YouTube channel last month.

The clip promised fans that the series’ legendary cast would be returning to “where the magic began.” 

The video opens with an image showing the clock in front of Hogwarts. Then, the clip moves to the image of The Daily Prophet (a wizarding newspaper) with the headline: “Hogwarts welcomes alumni back”.

The paper is being pulled down by Emma’s wild-haired Hermione Granger to show her head. But it’s not clear if this mystery star is Emma.

The teaser shows Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid. In the film, Hagrid is a loving giant who sits in an elegant London cafe where he receives his letter. This letter can easily be identified in penmanship and in paper from Hogwarts.

In September 2020, there were renewed transphobia calls after Rowling revealed that Troubled Blood, her latest novel, was written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The villain of Troubled Blood is a male serial killer who disguises himself as a female to kill his victims.

The comments were made by Harry Potter actors Rupert, Emma, and Daniel. Eddie Redmayne stars in the Fantastic Beasts film she has criticised. 

Radcliffe spoke recently about the long-lasting impact of the franchise in an interview with BBC Documentary and stated via The Guardian, that he is proud of having made an impact on millions.

He stated that most people discovered the ring when it was first introduced to them. This meant they felt a sense of security and protection over it.

The actor then stated that he is particularly taken by how Harry Potter films have been viewed by so many of their now-older followers.

He stated that friends have told him that they’re great for people who are feeling very crappy or hungover. They just take them to a place where warmth and comfort.

Radcliffe said, “That’s so beautiful to me. This is how a movie can impact someone’s real life. It is amazing.
