Robert, 50 years of age, and his 5-year-old daughter died in the explosion.
Little Shauna and he went to Creeslough’s petrol station in the hope of buying a cake for their mother. However, they were both killed just moments later.
Robert, who is believed to be originally from Zambia, moved to Donegal about a year ago along with his family. The youngest victim was his five-year old daughter Shauna, who died in the blast at Applegreen station.
The news of the loss of such a young life devastated the country yesterday, as her family released an image of the girl in her school uniform.
A brother of the little girl, who recently moved from the UK to Donegal, kept an eye on the area where the explosion occurred over the weekend.

James Monaghan, his mother Catherine O’Donnell and his father were at the shop when they were both killed. Mulroy College was Milford’s student for the thirteen-year-old.
Psychologists of the National Educational Psychological Service and Donegal Education and Training Board also offer guidance and advice to students and their families.
Donegal ETB’s Dr Martin Gormley stated that the tragic events have been difficult to explain. He said, “I want to thank the emergency and medical services, school management, staff, and educational psychologists for their responses to this critical incident.”
“We send our condolences to the entire family and wish everyone who was hurt a quick recovery after the accident.
“It is an awful tragedy. It is very difficult to express it.”

James O’Flaherty, an Australian engineer director was well-known. During his career, he managed large-scale software engineering and electrical engineering projects worth more than €100million.
James, a well-known member of his local community, was a director at Jabil (an American manufacturing service company). After years of studying in Australia and working as a manager for Jabil, James earned a MBA from the University Tasmania in Business Administration.
James is described as an ex-client of his who was “loaded with energy, enthusiasm and insight”.
Shaun Struwig said that James’s dedication and drive allowed him to deliver multiple successful projects.
He is capable of communicating at an extremely high level, and understands every technical detail, which allows for comfort during project delivery.
‘Loaded with enthusiasm, energy and insight, offering excellent and practical solutions in often very trying and difficult situations, approaching challenges with innovative ideas, and sharing these in an open and constructive manner. James is a team player and a valuable asset for any company.

Hugh, who was 59 years of age, was the oldest victim. He has also been called a gentleman. According to reports, he was involved in long-term relationships and worked in construction.

Martina had been working behind the counter at Applegreen when she was struck by the terrible blast.

Martina worked behind the counter of the Applegreen station service station, when she died in the horrific blast. Mulroy College, Milford was her mother.
Principal of Mulroy College, Fiona Temple said that the school and its staff are devastated by the death of members of the community.
“We, as a school community, are shocked to hear of this tragedy and its tragic outcome for our beloved parents and two precious students. She said that her thoughts and prayers were with the Creeslough family and all their loved ones.
“We feel overwhelmed by the sadness, and we will all work together to help our school community over the next days, weeks, and months.
Leona Harper, 14

Leona and her friend are believed to have entered the gas station together on Friday afternoon in order to purchase ice cream.
Later, she planned to attend a sleepover at a friend’s home.
While her friend sustained injuries, the 14-year old was killed as she was choosing ice cream out of the refrigerator.
Anthony Harper, her brother in tragedy, made a touching tribute to her and said he could not have asked for a better sister.
He wrote, “Leona! I Love You So Much and We All Love You So Much,” on Facebook.
Leona was once a Mulroy College student. She was also remembered as an outstanding rugby player who played for Letterkenny RFC’s under-14s.
Harper was described by Letterkenny, her local club as a “talented rugby player” and an integral member of the under-14s girls’ team.
Harper was tragically lost to tragedy. Leinster as well as Ulster paid their respects.
Ulster Rugby expressed its deepest sympathies to Leona Harper’s loved ones via social media.
Martin McGill was also among those killed by the petrol station explosion

Yesterday, locals recalled Martin McGill’s car being seen outside the petrol station shortly after the explosion. His distraught mother called the pharmacy to find him.
Soon it was discovered that the victim was a 49-year old woman.
Martin served as a caregiver for his mother and was described locally by Fergus Brennan, a young pharmacist, as an “exceptional young man”.
Martin was an extremely regular visitor because he was carer. His parents were so loved and he was well-liked. He also looked after them with great dedication and love.
Jessica Gallagher, (pictured) had just returned home from Paris where she studied design.

Jessica recently moved back to Creeslough, her hometown from Paris.
According to reports, the young man was studying design in Paris but moved back home recently.
According to some, she is from a musical family. Her boyfriend was one of the victims in the accident.
Explosion, and was transported to a specialist burneds unit where his condition is described as critical.
Ian Joyce, a local visual artist who was acquainted with Ms. Gallagher, said that he felt’shocked’ by her passing.
‘I knew a young woman who died in the blast… She lived in Paris for a number of years, and she had just moved home. He stated that she was a fashion designer.
