A HGV crashed into 17 vehicles outside a Premier Inn. It left a trail that led to destruction and was caught on camera. The driver had been taken to hospital.

Surprising footage captures the aftermath of yesterday’s crash at the Doncaster hotel, near Lakeside shopping center. 

According to reports, the driver was unable to control his car at a roundabout and then crashed into a hedge. He bulldozed into at least 17 cars in the garage.

Surreal footage from yesterday morning at 7 a.m. shows how the damage was done just moments after the accident outside the Doncaster hotel, near Lakeside shopping center.

Footage shows crushed cars scattered across the park, before the camera focuses on one large lorry that has sustained severe damage.  

The lorry leaves a trail of destruction and can be seen in the parking lot flashing the lights from the recovery vehicles. 

You can see bumpers and license plates hanging from cars, and broken glass is scattered across the ground.  

Others are seen looking shocked as they look on from the sidelines, while taking in all of what is happening.

According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle on a roundabout and then hurtled through a hedge into at least 17 cars.

Sun Online was informed by the police that there were no injuries to guests and that the hotel had not been damaged.   

South Yorkshire Police spokesmen said, “Police received reports about a vehicle colliding with stationary cars and leaving the road just before 7 am.”

“The driver of the lorry was transported to hospital. His injuries aren’t believed to be severe. Other injuries have not been reported.
