Unspeakable video of a prison gang beating a Schizophrenic Inmate with every tool they could find, even an industrial broom, was posted on social media Sunday.

Jayshawn Boyd (22 years old) is seen in the common area at Essex County Correctional Facility when seven white inmates beat him.

Guards did not attempt to stop this horrible attack.

Boyd falls to the ground as his attackers gather around him.

The men were seen holding an industrial-sized broom. Boyd was hit with it as other inmates continued to punch him.

The inmates soon leave, seemingly trying to find another object that could be used against the victim.

Jayshawn Boyd, 22, was brutally beaten at the Essex County Correctional Facility in New Jersey by seven inmates in the 'gang unit' on September 23

Jayshawn Boyd (22 years old) was brutally beat at Essex County Correctional Facility, New Jersey, by seven members of the “gang unit” on September 23rd.

A bucket of mop water is pulled out from a closet by one man. Boyd gets a spit on the other guy’s head.

Boyd could see a shirtless prisoner grab a garbage bag and then turn to get a microwave, which he throws at Boyd 4 times.

Boyd is hit with the device.

Soon others join the fray, throwing everything they have at the victim.

Ending the two-minute video, one inmate runs up to Boyd and hits him with the broomstick.

Unknown is the cause of this attack.

‘That’s something we don’t know at this point,’ Michael Thomas Licciardi, an associate attorney for Brooke Barnett, who represents Boyd, told The New York Post on Monday.

He said that it seemed very quick. It took him just minutes to get into the common space.

The man noted that the family had received an anonymous copy of the video.

Licciardi said that Boyd was clearly in danger when five men on the video began attacking him.

Boyd’s attorneys filed a lawsuit against Essex County officials late last month. They claimed that Boyd was placed in a “gang unit” by correctional officers, despite the fact that Boyd isn’t a member.

Boyd was held in jail for domestic violence involving his mother (and his brother) on September 9.

Boyd, who has schizophrenia, was moved from Essex County to Ann Klein in May as he waited for sentencing.

His release was granted pending sentencing. He was to plead guilty criminal mischief, unlawful possession of weapons, but failed to show up at the sentencing hearing on July 28.

Boyd was later released on a Union County bench warrant. He was taken to Essex County jail.

Officials from Essex County claim that he was assaulted shortly thereafter by Darryl Watson and Tyshon Jackson.

According to the Post, although the men were arrested for attempted murder, assault, and third-degree violence in the October beating, their cases are still before a grand jury.

Boyd was hit in the head with a microwave a total of four times during the altercation

Boyd’s attorneys point out that during the entire brawl, there were no officers trying to stop it.

Licciardi noted that the attack continues for several minutes.

He stated, “It’s not a conscious failure of intervention.”

Boyd’s lawyers claim jail officers were “deliberately ignorant” to the beating. The notice of claim was filed last month and alleges that the Essex County Department of Corrections negligence and inept training led to the attack.

A letter attached to this filing states that “Damages are continuing in this matter and are still being determined as the extent or permanence of Mr. Boyd’s injury are as yet unknown.”

Anthony Puglisi from Essex County stated to NJ.com that officials are not allowed to comment on issues currently being investigated.
