Sandy Bay caravan site near Exmouth is prone to serious coastal erosion. It captures the full extent of East Devon’s cliff fall.
The incident follows numerous cliff-falls in the vicinity over the course of the past six month. Last year’s Facebook post by the Beer Coastguard Rescue Team stated that Cliff falls occurred this morning.
In August, the cliffside endured five huge falls in just one morning, Devon Live reported.
A slurry of clay fell off the cliffs at Sidmouth Mouth and Salcombe Mouth. This prompted the Beer Coastguard Rescue Team (Berry Coastguard Rescue Team) to issue a warning.
A spokesperson for Cliff Falls said in a Facebook statement that: “Cliffs this morning. Please stay clear of the base of the cliffs. Take note of signs. They are there to help you.”
The announcement came one month later Many beach-goers were photographed sitting right under the crumbling cliffs, in spite of a huge sign warning them.
Sandy Bay was the scene of a few revellers as Britons ran to the coast in search of heatwave.
The yellow sign that warns beach-goers of the dangers of falling stones was placed beside them.
