Il Divo star Carlos Marín has been placed in an induced coma after being admitted to hospital, according to reports.
After being admitted to the Manchester Royal Hospital’s intensive care unit, the 53-year-old Spanish singer is currently under close observation.
The announcement came just days after Il Divo had announced that they would postpone their remaining UK tours until 2022 due “illness”, though no further details were provided at the time.

Spanish newspaper El Espanol reports that Carlos was admitted to the hospital and intubated. His organs remain stable, but he is still in serious condition.
Carlos’ last Instagram post was shared on December 6, when he appeared in a promotional image alongside his bandmates David Miller, Sébastien Izambard, Urs Bühler to reveal two upcoming tour dates in Dallas and Florida and February 2022.
Also, the publication reports that Carlos was taken to hospital two days later on Dec 8.

The band announced on Twitter that their remaining UK tours in 2021 had been postponed, December 10.
They said: ‘Unfortunately, due to illness, the remaining dates for Il Divo’s December 2021 UK tour have been postponed until December 2022.
‘Il Divo is sorry to all their fans but we look forward returning to the road this year and meeting you all during the Christmas period.
Il Divo had also been scheduled to perform two festive European shows, one in Lisbon and another in La Coruña, and the latter show was recently postponed until July 15, 2022.

According to The Olive Press Marin’s lawyer appealed against his sentence. He stated that he had to make changes in his work and personal life.
