Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar shared a video that slammed the ‘f*****-up’ acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse on Friday that also claimed there are a ‘different set of rules for white people.’
A congresswoman who had previously said Rittenhouse ‘executed 2 people in Kenosha’, retweeted a clip of Amber Ruffin, NBC’s late-night talk host, criticizing teens’ guilty verdict.
Omar shared Ruffin’s two-minute video with the caption, “In Case You Need a Reminder.”
Jurors acquitted Rittenhouse (18) on all charges: two counts for homicide and one count for attempted homicide to wound a third person. Also, two counts were added of recklessly endangering security after Rittenhouse was accused of killing two people in protests that were marred by rioting, arson and looting, which took place on August 25, 2020 in Kenosha (Wisconsin).

Omar tweeted the video, with the caption “In case you needed a reminder.” Ruffin states that white people are guilty of murdering since the beginning.
Ruffin emotional starts the video by saying, ‘It is not okay for men to grab guns, cross state boundaries, shoot three people, then run free.
Then, she attacked the U.S. judiciary system and accused it of being “blatantly and clearly stacked against peoples of color” and stated that it was ‘not okay to have an entirely different set rules for White people.
“I don’t really care about Kyle Rittenhouse. And I don’t even care about the racist judge.” And I don’t care how f****ed up that jury must be,’ Ruffin added. Ruffin said, “White people have been getting away murdering since before time began.”

Omar isn’t the first to speak out against Rittenhouse.
She and Ayanna Pressley, progressive Congresswomen, have described Rittenhouse both as white supremacists and domestic terrorists.
Despite Omar’s previous claim that Rittenhouse ‘executed two people,’ the 18 year-old was only charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide, for which the jury found him ‘not guilty’ of on Friday.
This congresswoman was among many left-leaning people who called Rittenhouse a white supremacist. President Biden did the same when he posted a 2020 video campaign that included Rittenhouse’s image and footage from white supremacist organizations. Biden said that Trump had’refused’ to condemn white supremacists during the debate.
Rittenhouse’s left-wing accusations forced Rittenhouse’s mother Wendy Rittenhouse to defend her son’s reputation on Sean Hannity’s Fox News Channel program on November 10.
“President Biden doesn’t even know my son.” She said that he is not white supremacist.
“He isn’t a racist.” Und [Biden]That was done to get the votes. “And I was angry for a time at him and the things he did my son. He defamed me,” she continued.
Wendy Rittenhouse’s story was confirmed by an Anti-Defamation League investigation.
CBS News reported that the ADL told CBS News they had not found any evidence in Rittenhouse’s social media footprint of any link to extremist organizations.
In the closing argument of the prosecution, the expression ‘white supremacist’ and the words “extremist”, “racist” or “bigot” were never mentioned.
Todd McMurtry (the lawyer who represented Nicolas Sandmann in a lawsuit against news media outlets worth upwards of $800m for defamation) said that Biden’s tweet regarding Rittenhouse might cause him trouble.
“What you can take away from this tweet was that Kyle Rittenhouse used his rifle and engaged in white supremacist misconduct. So it’s actionable,” McMurtry said to Fox News after Rittenhouse’s acquittal.
Although the lawyer acknowledged that the teenager was not going to win, he said it was possible to take action.
Leo Terrell, a civil rights lawyer, also advised Biden that Fox News’s president couldn’t justifi his comments and that he would ‘have to pay for and justify” his actions.
Biden issued a statement after Friday’s verdict, saying that while the verdict in Kenosha would leave many Americans angry and worried, including myself, it was important to acknowledge the fact that the jury had spoken.
He also stated that he was aware of the fact that ‘we are not going to heal our nation’s wounds overnight’, but that he is ‘committed to doing everything in my power’ to make sure every American is treated equal.
Kamala Harris, the Vice President, also stated to reporters that “the verdict speaks for itself.”
‘It’s clear, there’s still a lot more work to do,’ she said before boarding Air Force One in Columbus, Ohio.
McMurtry also asserts that Sandmann as well Rittenhouse are similar: Both were minors at time of event and were private persons at the same time.
The lawyer stated that although Biden and Sandmann are household names, they do not have to prove Biden’s negligence.
Sandmann also advised Rittenhouse that he would sue the media for defamation.
Sandmann stated in an opinion piece for DailyMail.com that ‘the parallels between Rittenhouse and me are impossible to not draw’. “The national media attacked Kyle just like they did for me.
“So, every label Kyle has as a terrorist, white supremacist, or school shooter in Kenosha will be removed only after all the damage is done.
“So, Kyle might be willing to accept another burden early in life with the understanding that it may not result in anything, then I say, Give it a try and hold the media responsible,” he wrote to DailyMail.com.
