This MasterChef: Professionals’ most inept contestant is it? A budding cook, who had never done any preparations, drops food and bakes meringue from asparagus. She then serves raw goat meat to the VERY impressed judges

  • Marcus Wareing heard from Chef Nic, that Nic was developing his egg three ways dessert in the show’s kitchen.
  • Confident cook began to unravel though – dropping a faggot on the floor, and a spear of asparagus into his Italian meringue – before serving up raw food
  • Gregg hated Gregg’s dessert, so he only had one dessert between the three of them
  • Nic, distraught by the terrible service, told the audience that he was ‘peppered with disappointment’

One MasterChef: Professionals contestant who confidently shared his story Judge Marcus Wareing claimed he was trying to make a new dessert and that he had just finished the contest. He ended up getting egg all over his face, which led him to quickly exit the competition.

In last night’s episode of the Quarter Finals, Nic revealed to British Chef Michelin that he was competing for the spot in the finals. He also tried a new ‘egg three way’ dessert.

Nic’s risky admission didn’t go well. Viewers watched in horror as Nic’s service crashed and burned before their eyes. His main course was served with raw meat, raw asparagus and one judge got a dessert.

Nightmare service: The latest episode of MasterChef: The Professionals saw Nic, who'd been ambitious with his menu of kid goat followed by an 'egg three ways' dessert, unravel under the pressure of the reality TV show's kitchen

Nightmare service – The latest episode MasterChef: Professionals featured Nic who, despite being ambitious about his kid goat menu followed by an egg three ways dessert, collapsed under the weight of reality TV’s kitchen.

Marcus Wareing's expression says it all when chef Nic admits that he's never made the dessert he's cooking for the judges before today

Eggs three ways became eggs two ways  - including an egg yolk soaked in whisky - and then only Gregg Wallace got a dessert after his other two didn't work out

When Nic opened the oven to check his Italian meringue had set, which it hadn't, there was also a spear of asparagus in it

Nic opened his oven door to see if the Italian meringue was set. It hadn’t. However, there was a spearful of asparagus inside.

The chef described his plan for the main course of kid goat on the bones, with goat faggot and a jalapeno, goat sauce, and asparagus. He also admitted that he was ill-prepared for the dessert of egg three ways.

Marcus, Gregg Wallace and his co-judge Gregg Wallace were informed that he had meant to prepare the dish yesterday. However, he said to Gregg Wallace that he was opening his restaurant to make it possible. Here’s my opportunity to develop.

Wareing was shocked and asked, “You are developing this dish right now?” I hope you don’t let yourself down’.

Viewers watched Nic as his nightmare unfolded. After wiping the sweat off his face, he had to return his goat to the oven, even though it was still raw.

One of his goat faggots was dropped by him and the asparagus was left still crispy.

The spear of asparagus was in his Italian meringue when he took it out of the oven.

It also failed to set the meringue, so Gregg had his egg three times turned into an “egg 2 ways” dessert.

Nic, who's opening his own restaurant told the show his experience had been 'peppered with disappointment', after giving himself too much to do in a bid to reach the quarter finals

Nic, who opened his first restaurant, said that his experience was ‘peppered by disappointment’. He had given up trying to get to the quarter finals.

Gregg Wallace looked astounded when he heard that Nic's dessert was 'in development' and had never actually been made before

Gregg Wallace was stunned to learn Nic’s recipe for a dessert had been in development but never made.

After putting the goat meat back in the oven, it was still very pink when it reached the judge's forks

It was very pink by the time it got to the forks of the judge after it had been put back into the oven.

He admitted that the egg yolk had been infused with whisky and tasted raw, making him feel uncomfortable.

Home viewers felt the exact same, asking Nic why he didn’t choose more skilled dishes.

@lally55p wrote: ‘Catching up with #MasterchefTheProfessionals feel sorry for Nic, interesting ideas but more practice needed.’

@Dorset_Owl said: “Nic needs to have his ears out.” Is it possible that he made it through all the heats?

Nic was devastated at the poor service and said that it had made him feel miserable but that he loved every moment of the experience.

Tonight’s episode of MasterChef: Professionals will air at 8:30pm on BBC One
