On Monday, just 24 hours after the ten new Gwrych Castle residents embarked on their I’m A Celebrity journey, the dreaded eating challenge returned – this year branded The Castle’s Dreaded Diner.
Danny Miller defeated Snoochie Shy in the brutal trial. He ate cow’s teat as well as pig brains and fermented fudge.
The tie-break saw the Emmerdale actor, who is now 30, and the DJ (29), eat the worst of the two to determine which dish they would be able to eat in the fastest time to secure food at their camp.

The first night in the castle grounds witnessed the campmates in the Clink – the all-new jungle jail – having to adapt to not only new sleeping arrangements, a basic diet and the cold depths of the fortress – but David Ginola’s relentless snoring.
Naughty Boy joked: ‘There’s a lot of snoring, but not from everyone. David is an icon. But he also snores like a legend!’
However the DJ’s concerns were soon put to one side when he spoke in the Telegraph about his encounter with robin.
‘I can honestly say, first night in The Clink, I woke up traumatised. However, I was not to blame. It was even a question that I had: “Should I be here?” I was frightened when a robin flew by. It was like something felt inside me.
‘That robin’s here to see me. After a while, we sat down and cooled off. Yeah, I was thinking that robin came with a message and all that message is is everything’s going to be OK.’

Over in the other main camp, Matty Lee, – the only male on a team with Frankie Bridge, Kadeena Cox, Louise Minchin and Snoochie Shy, joked: ‘I’m in a room full of girls. That would normally be the ideal scenario. But in this… it’s not that sort of thing. It’s weird. I feel outnumbered.’
Athlete Kadeena said: ‘Waking up in the Castle is so crazy. It still doesn’t feel like it’s real, but it’s so amazing to wake up with the weirdest surroundings, but the coolest people around you.’

Viewers on Monday night saw the celebs twerking around the fire.
Snoochie laughed and said: ‘Matty’s twerk, he did give a lot to it. However, it was giving me more chicken. It was giving me more chicken than it was making me twerk like one.
Things took a moving turn when David Ginola detailed during Monday night’s instalment how he ‘passed away for 12 minutes’ after having a heart attack in 2017.

Speaking out: David Ginola, who described Monday night’s episode of his heart attack and ‘passed away’ for 12 minutes after it happened in 2017, took things to a poignant turn.

Poignant: Speaking in the Telegraph, Richard Madeley drew on the close bonds the campmates had quickly formed

Ordeal: The French sports star, 54, explained: ‘The surgeon said, “You’ve been very lucky David, it’s a miracle. Your condition would have seen 9 out 10 people die.”
Naughty Boy asked the French star of sports, Arlene, about his workout routine. It was four years ago during a charity match.
Naughty Boy asked: “Is that true regarding something that has happened to you?” Did you die and then come back?
‘I passed away for 12 minutes,’ David said, to which Naughty Boy replied, ‘I didn’t think that was possible.’
Ex-Spurs and Newcastle player explained it all: “Just playing football, at one point you just fall to the ground. So they have to perform CPR for 12 minutes and they arrive with the defibrillator and they shocked me one time, two times, three times…
They said that they believed their friend was dead. A fourth, fifth time… the fifth time, a heartbeat. The surgeon said, “You’ve been very lucky David, it’s a miracle. “In your state, 9/10 would have been dead.”
Richard Madeley, speaking in The Telegraph, reflected on the strong bonds that campmates quickly made.
‘Here’s a good example of how quickly we’ve become very, very close in here and very open with each other. That is quite a story. You don’t ask somebody lightly to talk about that,’ the presenter said.
