You’re a celebrity… get me out of here! The 2021 year began on Sunday, with nail-biting tasks and new faces.
But viewers were left unimpressed by this year’s lineup, which includes Richard Madeley, Frankie Bridge, Naughty Boy, Arlene Phillips, David Ginola, Danny Miller, Snoochie Shy, Kadeena Cox, Matty Lee, and Louise Minchin.
Twitter was a popular place for many to vent frustration, with some claiming that they didn’t know who the contestants were or that Ant and Dec were their only celebrities.
“I don’t know who these celebs are”: This year’s I’m a Celeb line-up, which included Snoochie Shy and Louise Minchin (pictured), left viewers unimpressed.
A disgruntled fan said: “Is it me, or is anyone else thinking these celebrities get worse every year?”
One other person echoed the sentiment: “I’m an actor, get out of here!”. Is this just me? Do you think celebrities are becoming more and more infamous each year.
A third person added: ‘Only celebrities this year are ant & dec apparently,’ while another wrote: ‘I haven’t a clue who these celebrities are like…’
Another viewer laughed: “Brave decision from I’m a Celeb to not get any real celebrities this year …’

Snoochie and Louise won the horrifying plank challenge at this year’s I’m A Celeb Series launch.
The couple, along with some other celebrities, had to complete the Walk The Plank task together in order for them to be able to gain keys which would give them access to Castle Camp and allow them to eat the Castle dinner.
After the task the radio DJ gave Louise an emotional hug as Ant and Dec revealed that she would be joining Louise on the red team.
It’s not a good idea: “Is it me, or is it everyone else who thinks these celebrities are getting worse every year?” As many fans echoed the opinion of one fan, another disgruntled wrote.
Explaining the challenge before they started host Declan Donnelly said: ‘The winning team will get to pick which two celebrities from the other group will represent them in the next challenge.’
Ant McPartlin, co-host, said that the team with the most keys would have access to Castle’s main camp, where they will be given a bed and eat tonight.
“While losers will go to Castle Clink and receive basic rations. It’s not where you want to go.
After the game was set, everyone turned their attention to the horrifying planks.
Scary! Scary!
Dec explained: “In front of your are two planks which become narrower as the quarry progresses.
You must cross the gaps between the planks to reach the yellow zone of gameplay at the end. It is located 213 feet above lake level. The game will start once you both are there.
Ant explained, “Between these planks is an array of lights. You will see the flashing red lights and then the green light. When it turns on, the button must be pressed with your foot. It will go to the first celebrity to press their button. The loser will be kicked off their platform.
Let’s get started: Snoochie seemed terrified before she set out to tackle the challenge
Louise and Danny were first up. They walked towards the beginning of their planks, and Ant and Dec inquired how they felt.
Louise gazed at her plank, and she said that there was nothing worse than it right now. It’s frightening.
Danny laughed out and stated, “I can’t wait”. Ant then turned his attention to Dec and spoke a little bit. Dec smiled, saying, “A little.”
Snoochie became so afraid that it was too much. She began to scream in terror as she hung above an abandoned quarry.
Louise and Danny began to play the game, but the famous ‘plank wobble” returned. They were trying to balance their bodies 213 feet above quarry lake.
Both reached the end and anxiously waited to see the green light.
After the green light flashed, both Danny and Louise put their foot on the buzzer. Louise won the race and Danny fell.
Ant McPartlin was the co-host and said, “The team who wins the keys will gain access to Castle Camp, where you’ll get a bed and you’ll eat tonight.”
Ant and Dec revealed that Louise would now be the first member of the red team and Danny would be the first member of the yellow team.
Naughty Boy followed Snoochie, and Naughty Boy followed. Snoochie moved to the finish of her planks. Snoochie wobbled when she got there.
Snoochie was unable to bear it all and found herself screaming terror from above an abandoned quarry.
Game: Ant and Dec announced that Louise will now be the Red Team’s first player and Danny the Yellow Team’s first player
Snoochie was not disappointed. Her plank began to wobble the moment she touched it. Snoochie shouted, “I’m going to drop!”
As Snoochie press her buzzer, the light changed to green.
Naughty boy was left hanging from the ceiling after he realized she could run faster than him.
Ant explained to the yellow team that this meant Arlene Phillips and David Ginola would be joining them. Danny, an avid football fan, said that David Ginola was his favorite player and that he is the best. He’s a joy to be with.

It was also announced that Naughty Boy would join Danny on the yellow team.
Louise and Snoochie heard from the host of the program that the winners were able to pick two celebs from another group to join them.
Louise explained that they chose Matty Lee over Kadeena and decided to go with them because it was impossible for us to support gold medalists.
Scary: However, Snoochie got more than she bargained for when her plank started to wobble as soon as she stepped on, prompting her to shout: ‘I’m gonna drop!’
These celebs were captured from Gwrych Castle in a field close to Caernarfon. It is approximately 40 miles.
Ant McPartlin was the cohost and said that the challenge would prove to be harder than ever. Celebrities will have to overcome grueling obstacles on the way to the Castle in order to get the keys.
Declan Donnelly said, “And you all will face the first challenge but not as a group.” Instead you’ll be facing each other head on. Louise is your first challenge. [Minchin]Danny will be your opponent [Miller]Naughty Boy will confront Snoochie.
Louise Minchin, Danny Miller and Dec were first to tackle the job. Dec stated that they could both navigate the plank along with the yellow play area.

Louise was told by Danny, “Come on girl! You have this man!”
Dec observed the stars struggling through the challenges and commented, “It’s incredible how suddenly walking straight in a line become so difficult.”
You’re now in the game-play zone. Keep in mind that when the light turns green, it’s the time you press the button with your feet.
“Oh my God!” Snoochie gasped as Ant said, ‘Oh my God!’
Ant stated that the challenge was high up. He said: “This year will be harder than ever. All the celebrities will have to face difficult challenges to get to the Castle to claim the keys.”
