India Hicks delights royal fans with an unseen photo of Prince Charles as a child on the wedding day of her mother, Lady Pamela Hicks.
Lady Pamela, now 92, the younger daughter of Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, wed interior decorator and designer David Hicks at Romsey Abbey in Hampshire, on January 13, 1960.
Charles is seen chatting with the groom and bride after the ceremony.
In India’s latest black-and white snap, the young prince appears with his back to camera. However, many royal commenters pointed out that his ears are easy to recognize, even from behind.

Although the Queen was unable to attend because of her pregnancy with Prince Andrew, other senior royals, including Prince Philip, Princess Margaret, and the Queen Mother were able to make it.
When she was nine years old, Princess Anne served as a bridesmaid.
A second photograph shows the radiant bride and groom walking down the steps, while the bride is being assisted with her wedding dress.

Lady Pamela was the daughter of Philip’s maternal uncle Lord ‘Dickie’ Mountbatten and was a lady in-waiting for Queen Elizabeth. She also served as a bridesmaid during their 1947 wedding.
A second photograph shows the radiant bride and groom walking down the staircase, with the bride helping herself with her bridal gown.
For her own wedding, she had Princess Anne as a bridesmaid alongside Princess Clarissa of Hesse, her goddaughter Victoria Marten and her niece’s Jonna Knatchbull and Amanda Knatchbull.
Broadlands in Hampshire hosted the formal reception.
Lady Pamela, who has been speaking more recently about the roles of the royal family and their relationships via India’s Podcast and sharing her thoughts on coronation with ITV in recent years.
Lady Pamela, recalling 1953’s coronation, said “[The Queen]Looked so fragile, this young lady.
“Seeing this 27-year-old woman, completely alone, made me wonder how she would have managed to carry out this task her entire life. She has such inner strength that one would know she could, and I’m sure it was obvious to her.
She shared her views on the royal wedding and described it as “surprisingly chaotic.”
Worth it: In September 2016, Prince Charles’s Goddaughter India Hicks married David Flint Wood. He was her 26-year-old partner.
She told how the Queen’s bouquet couldn’t be found. Her pearls also went missing until somebody remembered, at last minute, that they were displayed along with her wedding gifts.
After 26 years of marriage, India Hicks (Prince Charles’ goddaughter) married David Flint Wood last September.
India described the service as having “all the English wedding trimmings”, including a choir and organist.
Guests included Brooke Shields and Christian Louboutin, Sophie Dahl, and members of India’s highly connected family.
