Her success in film and her business, Goop, has earned her an alleged $150 million fortune.
So it’s no surprise when taking a peek inside Gwyneth Paltrow’s newest mansion to see the star has built herself a truly spectacular ‘forever home’ in Montecito, California, where she counts the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as neighbors.
The Oscar-winning star has invited fans into the luxuriously-designed house for a new feature with Architectural Digest – that was unveiled on Wednesday.
This luxurious space includes a large kitchen and a living area that is a show-stopper. It also has its own spa with a hot tub, $30k sauna, and plunge pool. Gwyneth (49) stresses that this will help to maintain ‘good circulation’.

Gwyneth, along with husband Brad Falchuk (TV producer), reportedly bought the home in 2016 for nearly $5million and started extensive renovations.
The Goop mogul gave a tour through her home and repeatedly mentioned how she got the idea from her years living abroad with Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin.
Sliding Doors Star shows her first entryway.
“I believe that having spent so many years as an expat in Europe and falling in love Georgian proportions and those of the details, it was important for me to make my entryway feel special.
Epic: Modeled on a spa in Paris called Bain de la Marais, the epic space shows a tiled hot tub, gold-plated showers, a cold plunge pool which she points out is ‘excellent for circulation’

“And so, with architects, we thought of having a fireplace. This is something that you often see in Europe as an entryway and gives you a warm feeling when you enter.
“The tiles reminded me of my London time and are a classic, traditional detail.
After revealing her favourite room in the house (the powder room), the Oscar winner gives viewers a peek at it. She reveals that the room has an antique mirror and is hand-painted with wallpaper.

Entryway: Gwyneth repeatedly references her time living in London – when she was married to Chris Martin – as the main influence of her décor
Flooring: Gwyneth believes the black-and-white tiles are reminiscent of Europe and describes it as “classic and traditional”.

She laughed, stating that she felt very grown-up peeing in there.
Next on the tour is the dining room. Gwyneth tells us that she hired Brigette Romanek (interior designer), to furnish the home. She has known Romanek for over 20 years.
Gwyneth teased some friction between them by revealing how they “fought” over the futuristic ceiling light fixture.

Next, the camera pans to her reclaimed fire place from Chateau Domingue. The wallpaper was custom-painted by MJ Atelier Los Angeles.
Roman and Williams were the architects responsible for designing this kitchen that uses reclaimed Portuguese tile. They are based in New York.
Gwyneth’s dining room: Gwyneth said that it was difficult to agree with her friend, a designer, about the futuristic finish in the area’s dining area. It features a ultramodern table and modern light fittings.

Gwyneth – who is now married to TV producer Brad – explains the importance of having the kitchen open-plan so she can cook and talk to her children, Apple Martin, 17, and Moses Martin, 15, from her previous marriage to her Coldplay ex.
Also, she admitted that Pinterest inspired her to make a fluting effect using plaster above the kitchen fireplace. This is something she described as’such luxury.
Gwyneth admits that her life is ‘bonkers’ in the best possible way. It features many styles including a marble bar and swing seats, as well as lights inspired from Guns N Roses.

Gwyneth says she has not used it in a while, but the package includes a marble bar.
‘Unfortunately I don’t drink a lot this year, so I’m drinking mostly Seedlip cocktails. This is similar to mocktails, or sparkling water. She will definitely be my main source of drinking when I get the chance.
Gwyneth refers to her living room in a show-stopping way, but this title is aptly given to her spa. It’s the real spectacle.
An actress who works for Goop jokes that she may be able write off business expenses.
Family fun: This large sofa in the 70’s style is big enough for both the actor and her kids to unwind on.
The bar is running dry. She showed off her marble-topped bar, but said she had been drinking for a year.
Bain de la Marais is Paris’s spa. This space was inspired by a Bain de la Marais spa. It features a heated hot tub and showers with gold-plated fixtures. There’s also a plunge pool that she says is great for circulation.

“My son loves turkey meatballs and turkey ragout,” said one of my customers.
‘And my daughter loves when I make—they’re pasta lovers—I think her favorite is either this lemon Parmesan pasta that I make her or a spicy marinara. It’s very easy.
