A videogame called “Save the Freedom” has been developed by the Iranian military. The objective of the game is to save George Floyd’s existence, according to a journalist.
After Floyd’s murder by Derek Chauvin (Minneapolis police officer) last May, worldwide protests against the police brutality erupted.
His death also inspired Iran’s Basij paramilitary forces to begin developing a mobile game, according to Beirut-based journalist Seamus Malekafzali.
Malekafzali, a Twitter user about the software said that Iran’s Basij “has unveiled an innovative mobile video game about saving George Floyd’s life from being killed by police.”
To beat the game, players must overcome 30 levels with increasing difficulty.

Global protests against the police brutality were triggered by Floyd’s death last May when he was shot to death by Derek Chauvin (Minneapolis police officer).

Malekafzali refused to comment when Malekafzali was asked.
The Basij was prompted by Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naghdi to create the game for September 2020’s ‘Nationwide Event to Produce Basij Digital Content’ competition, according to Kayhan Life (Iran English-language publican).
General Naghdi told Basij members that “Rescuing George Floyd” is the first task in the contest.
This computer game should have the goal of rescuing this American citizen from American police.
He stated that the internet is America’s only chance to win its defeats. ‘MOSSAD and the CIA are behind this psychological game, not individuals.
‘People inside the U.S. shout ‘death to America’ and burn the American flag,’ Naghdi added. “The U.S. foreign and domestic policies have failed,” Naghdi said. This country is becoming more divided.
According to the publication, the event also featured an animation contest and a competition for prayer apps.
The existence of the game is not known.
The insensitive concept of the game was mocked by social media users.
