Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has hinted that he is expanding his property development business into the Alps – months after it emerged Prince Andrew was being forced to sell his £17 million chalet.

Edo is 37 years old and was born in London. He founded Banda Interior Design and Property Development at the age of 23.

Its mission is to provide homes that are affordable for wealthy people in undervalued areas of London.

After sharing several photos of snow backgrounds on his Instagram, the Italian property developer appears to be expanding into the Alps.

It comes after reports in September that the Duke of York was close to selling his £17million Swiss chalet to settle a legal dispute with the former owner.

Edo's property business Banda has been based in London - however last night he shared several shots of snowy chalet buildings alongside the words: 'Banda in the mountains'

Edo’s property firm Banda is based out of London. Last night, however, he shared photos of snowy chalet buildings with the words: “Banda at the mountain”.

Edo shared several shots on Instagram Stories last night, which featured an unidentified chalet made of snow and white mountains.

Over the images, text reads: “Banda Design Studio at the Mountains.”

This would be the first international expansion by a property developer.

His previous experience includes the development of residential properties in London for wealthy clients.

Property experts using social media challenged Edo’s mantra. They argued that “notting hill” is a place where nothing should be undervalued – which was the site of one Edo’s most recent projects.

They called the West London area affluent as “a super premier residential destination”.

Banda shared recently a set of pictures on Instagram that showed a glamourous refurbishment at Leinster Square. It is located between Westbourne Hill and Notting Hill.

Edo is a director in several companies with his mother and brother-in law, Tod Yeomans.

The Duke of York (pictured) is understood to have reached an agreement to drop proceedings

French socialite Isabelle de Rouvre (pictured) sued the Prince and his ex wife last year

The French socialite Isabelle de Rouvre, 74, sued Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, both 61, last year over £6.6million she claimed they still owed her

Edo, ahead of the London mayoral elections 2016, wrote an article to Property Week in which he urged the future mayor of London to focus on central London redevelopment.

As his father in law Prince Andrew planned to sell Verbier’s ski chalet, Edo made the decision to move into mountain property.

It is believed that the Duke of York reached an agreement to let Isabelle de Rouvre, who is 74, end all proceedings concerning the imminent sale.

The French socialite sued Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, both 61, last year over £6.6million she claimed they still owed her.

The Yorks bought the seven-bedroom Chalet Helora from Miss de Rouvre in 2014 for £16.6million, but she alleged they missed the final instalment on January 1, 2020.

Beatrice and Eugenie York, their children, became close friends with Miss de Rouvre when they rented the chalet during holidays.

She took the case to the Swiss courts demanding the money for the property in Verbier, equipped with an indoor swimming pool which costs up to £22,000 a week to rent.

But now that it is being sold for close to the asking price of £17.3million, she has agreed to drop proceedings, The Sunday Times reported.

After the sale, the Yorks plan to pay off their debt. Last year, it was reported that the chalet was up for sale. A source said: ‘The matter is close to being resolved to everybody’s mutual satisfaction.’

After renting the chalet on holiday with their children Beatrice, and Eugenie, the Yorks made friends with Miss de Rouvre.

Prince Andrew and his ex-wife bought it with a mortgage and private funding from the Queen as a ‘long-term family investment’, sources claimed.

It is believed that the sale will be completed and the duke will not own any properties.
