Tragic music mogul Jamal Edwards died penniless according to figures from the probate office, despite claims he was worth £350m.
The SBTV founder and music entrepreneur died of a heart attack in February aged 31 after taking cocaine and drinking alcohol – seven years after he was awarded an MBE for services to the industry.
Jamal, who helped launch the careers of global superstar Ed Sheeran and grime artist Stormzy, was reportedly worth between £8 and £335million but official documents show that he left a gross estate of £45,502.76 and after paying his debts his net estate was zero.

Russells, a celebrity lawyer, was hired by YouTube’s star to prepare his will. He had also promised his assets to his siblings Tanisha and Brenda (Mum and Loose Women panellist), dad Patrick and his sister Tanisha.
On February 20, 2020, the two-year-old he was to die, he signed his will.
Jamal founded pioneering online music platform SBTV in 2006 and was credited with helping to launch the careers of a string of UK music stars, including singer Jessie J.
The channel, where he uploaded content from emerging talent, attracted over 1 million subscribers. It also featured Rita Ora and Emeli Sande.
He also served as ambassador for Prince’s Trust charity, which is run by King Charles. In 2014, he was given an MBE to honor his contribution to music.

Jamal died unexpectedly on February 20, 2022. Ed the singer expressed deep sorrow for Jamal and his close family members.
He declared, “Jamal’s my brother.” He shone his light so brightly. It was his sole purpose to lighten others’ lives and he never received anything back.
“I couldn’t have been here, personally and professionally without him. Although there will never be another person like him, I am so thankful to have been able to live within his circle.
Brenda Jamal, Jamal’s mother, is a singer, TV presenter, and television host.
Jamal was “My Brother” and founded online music site SBTV, which helped launch the careers a number of UK artists including Ed Sheeran.
He wrote: ‘I can only begin to imagine what an immense and aching gap he will leave in your life and that of your daughter Tanisha, and my heart goes out to both of you, more than I can ever say.
Jamal’s help and commitment in helping my Prince’s Trust through the years will remain etched in my heart forever.
Brenda’s sister Tanisha, Jamal’s brother, held a star studded charity night in September to help raise funds for Jamal Edwards Trust Gala.
At the Gala, Ed and Jessie Ware performed as singers. Friends, celebrities and other people came together to honor Jamal, support his charity and remember him.
Brenda stated that appearing on Loose Women helps her keep strong. Brenda wore customized trainers as a tribute to Jamal. They were decorated with the SBTV logo and Tanisha’s footwear featured a photograph of Jamal’s smiley face.

Brenda shared the sudden death of her son with ITV in April.
Brenda shared with Coleen Nolan, her co-star, that Jamal had passed on while she was there, along with his sister and other members of their family.
She replied, “I’m taking every day as they come.”
“The most important thing is that I was with him. His sister was with me. It was all home.
“It was sudden, it was unexpected. He went into cardiac arrest. Then he died with me by his side.
