Jane McDonald has opened up about how she has coped with grief since losing her fiancé Eddie Rothe just last year.
The singer, 59, spoke candidly on adjusting to life without her partner as she revealed she moved her best friend, Sue Ravey, into her house so she wasn’t alone.
He died describing her death as “taking our destiny”; she acknowledged that she was. Reassessing her future plans, and deciding where she wants to go. It’s time to slow down your career.

Jane lost Eddie, the drummer of 60s rock band The Searchers, tragically to lung cancer in April 2021.

She stated, “You know, you have to be on your own sometimes, and it can seem a lot more difficult than it is,”

“And if my mood is bad and I get up, Sue is just down the hall. You can come up to me and ask for a cup of tea. It’s likely she will kill me.
“But sometimes, it’s simply knowing there’s someone else in your house. We both know that.

Horrible: Jane lost Eddie (drummer for the 60s band The Searchers) to lung cancer in April 2021.
Jane continued: ‘I think that’s part of grief as well is that you go through the normal grief and the terrible, terrible time and then you grieve the life that you thought you were going to have.
The TV personality explained that he had taken our future when he died.

Jane will turn 60 in April and she shared her desire to slow down and spend more time with her family.
She shared that Eddie had retired at the age of 59 when she was now. She said, “I promise that when you reach this age you will see a big difference.” That’s what I’ve done. We had many plans.
The star described her partner’s death as a shock and said that it made her realize how precious time she had left. Kaye told her that she has so many things she would like to do, including quality time with her family.

“You know what? I’m here to support my family. My, my niece, is about to have her baby. She shared that she was excited for the occasion.
Continue: “And I want be there, I want them to all be around just for a time to like take care of themselves and then quit working so much.” Because I work continuously.
Jane shared with Kaye her feelings about the loss, noting that it was easier to talk about and feel grateful for that time spent with him.

Jane was the object of Eddie’s proposal to Jane, on Christmas Eve 2008 after he had become an item in 2008.
Although they were briefly married, the couple split up in 2002. They rekindled the relationship six years later. However, they did not get the opportunity to wed before the tragic death of their beloved husband.
Kaye posted to Instagram Stories Friday in promotion of Jane’s podcast. She encouraged fans to listen and described Jane as a “lovely lady”.
Loose Women Panellist, however, revealed that her star guest would join her on the daytime program in just a few weeks.
