The 29-year old is an opera singer, and is the lesser-known daughter of Prince Albert, who died in 1963, and Tamara Rotolo (an American real-estate agent).

Albert, who confirmed that he is the biological father to Alexandre (18-years old), was Nicole Coste (an ex-Air France flight attendant from Togo) in May 2005 just before his enthronement as Prince of Monaco.

An April 2006 DNA test revealed that Albert was the father of Jazmine grace. It was confirmed by an affair with Tamara Rotolo who was an American estate agent whom he had met on holiday in South France.

In 1991, her mother was a waitress and had a brief affair with the monarch while on vacation.

The House of Grimaldi has had a difficult year. Rumours have swirled about strife between Prince Albert (63) and Princess Charlene (43), while Prince Albert is facing yet another paternity suit.

Charlene, a former Olympic swimmer, has spent the majority of this year apart from Albert. She was hospitalized with an ear and throat infection and had to spend 10 months in South Africa.

Shortly after her return to Monaco she was admitted to a European treatment facility for  exhaustion, both emotional and physical’,

The royal missed the seventh birthday of her twins Gabriella and Jacques and her 10 year anniversary with Albert.

Charlene Wittstock’s sister-in law Chantell Wittstock said that Charlene may not have returned to the palace. She also did not expect to be immediately returning to public functions. But she later retracts the statement.

Charlene was forced to leave following new allegations that Albert, an ex-swimmer for South Africa and Charlene had a child with a Brazilian woman.

Both parties are not commenting now, which suggests that a generous settlement might have been reached as was the case with Albert’s former love children.

In return for large financial settlements, Jazmin as well as Alexandre were taken out of Monaco’s succession line.

Princess Charlene met Prince Albert  in 2000 during a swimming competition in Monaco and the pair married in 2011, before welcoming twins Gabriella and Jacques in 2014.

She was born in Rhodesia, a colony in Southern Africa that the British had never recognized. At age 11, she moved to South Africa.

She had a successful swimming career and went on to win three gold medals and a silver medal at the 1999 All Africa Games in Johannesburg, as well as representing South Africa at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games and winning a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay in the latter competition.

The couple’s marital status has been the subject of many headlines throughout the years. Last year, however, a third paternity suit was filed.

Charlene soon after shaved her half-head in the manner of a punk rocker, last December.

It was seen as the first sign that a crisis is worsening and could lead to a multimillion-pound divorce.

A source close to the royal said that Page Six was being unfairly portrayed by a friend as someone with a mental or emotional problem.

“We don’t know the reason why she is being downplayed by the palace that she almost lost her life in South Africa.”

Sources said that the royal was suffering from severe ear and nose infections, which led to severe swallowing and sinus problems.

A friend said that she was unable to eat solid foods for six months due to the many surgeries she had. So, she has been only able to drink water through a straw and lost about half of her body weight.

Elsewhere friends of Princess Charlene gave Tatler a rare insight into what the royal is really like, insisting that the former swimmer is a force to be reckoned with.

According to one source, Charlene was not ‘naive’ or trapped in an unhappy marital relationship with Albert.

One warned that Princess Gabriella’s mother, Prince Jacques, was not the kind of person to be controlled blindly by the Monaco royal family.

‘Charlene, you are not Princess Di. One of them said. ‘She may come across as being extremely naïve, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is very easy for her to keep her intelligence under wraps.

Prince Albert continues to appear with his twins, Jacques & Gabriella. At a Monaco tree planting ceremony and Monaco National Day celebrations the trio was joined by their twins, Prince Albert and Gabriella. There, the children held heartbreaking signs proclaiming, “Miss you mommy”, and “Love me Mommy”.

Albert said that he has taken on more responsibility in the lives of his children as Charlene continues to struggle with her health.

After being removed from the classroom by Covid, Gabriella and Jacques are now homeschooled in the palace

‘For me, it’s pretty simple – my priority is my family,’ he said in an interview this month. He added, “Ofcourse, without neglecting the state affairs… It is my hope that everyone can understand this. It is a joy to be with my children, and I don’t hesitate when I can.

‘This is an extremely important time in their life – the way they grow up helps them see the world.

“If one parent needs to go on a medical leave, the other must also be available. Many of my acquaintances and friends have told me how they wish that they were there to support their children at an age when they are more involved in their careers or family life. These regrets are not something I want.
