Her fourth husband was present and she seemed captivated by their idyllic surroundings. An evening concluded with fireworks from the property’s lake. Savannah trolley buses entered the property to take the couple’s guests about.
This happy reunion takes place 20 years ago, after the couple first met and were engaged. However, their wedding was postponed in 2003 due to excessive media attention.
Close friends and family followed Affleck’s second wife Jennifer Garner down the aisle following their nuptials.
Joining Affleck were his three kids from his marriage to Jennifer Garner, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Sam, 11. And standing by JLO were her twins, Emme and Max, 14, that she had with Marc Anthony.
Garner’s absence made Garner notable. Affleck was also absent after Casey said he had previous parental commitments in Los Angeles.

There are hundreds of wildlife species living in the beautiful natural surroundings of this island, including deer, alligators and wild boars.
Lopez was not satisfied with certain aspects, however, an insider source said. This included the 4 mile loop of potholed roads around Lopez’s property that run from the Big House up to the Farmhouse.

Ben Affleck is set to marry Jennifer Lopez in the Celebrity Wedding of the Year, at the $8.9M Gone With the Wind-style “faux plantation” mansion.
Ben Affleck’s sprawling Georgia estate where he and Jennifer Lopez will be saying ‘I do’ again is built on a former slave-operated plantation, and sits just south of Savannah where Affleck’s ancestors once owned a host of slaves.
Affleck discovered the sad past of his family through 2015 research for Finding Your Roots, a PBS series. The researchers found ample evidence that Benjamin Cole was the great-great-great grandfather of Affleck. He owned between 25 to 31 slaves in a Savannah farm from the 1850s until the Civil War.
Affleck was in trouble when leaked emails revealed that he asked for the cancellation of a segment where he was informed about his family’s slavery-owning past. Instead of focusing on Affleck’s mother’s Civil Rights history, the show agreed. Affleck eventually apologized to the public for this cover-up.
“I did not want any TV show that was about my family to feature a slave-owner. It was embarrassing. The very thought left a bad taste in my mouth,’ he wrote in a Facebook post, ‘I regret my initial thoughts that the issue of slavery not be included in the story. Our ancestors are not to blame and we don’t deserve credit or blame. The level of interest shown in the story indicates that our nation is still struggling with the horrible legacy of slavery.
A transcript of the segment was cut. Affleck stated that hearing about the past of his family gave him “a sagging feeling.” The host also pointed out how ironic it is that one hundred years after his family owned salves, Affleck’s mother was giving her life to black rights.
Affleck paid $7.1million for the Riceboro property, which was 87 acres in size. It is where slaves used to work back in civil war times.
Roswell King owned the property, which was once home to Hampton Pastures, a rice plantation that was thriving.

Affleck put Affleck’s sprawling, 87-acre home up for auction for $8.9 Million. However, Lopez ultimately chose to stay in the property and hold a lavish wedding.
Many have expressed concern at Affleck’s choice to marry there, despite the fact that he has learned about the past of his family since buying it.
“When he learned who his ancestors are, he tried to shut it down,” Leslie Harris, the coeditor of Slavery and Freedom In Savannah, told Page Six that he did not learn from his mistakes. It’s the same story with him.
“People continue to build plantation-style houses. It is an indicator of wealth. When there are so many options, it’s not surprising that Affleck chose this location for his wedding. [historic]Plantations no longer have weddings.
