I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who reported the image on @TwitterSupport. Thank you for your kind words and kindness. It made a huge difference in my life and the lives of my family. Thank you to @PoliceScotland and all their help in this matter.

‘Over the last few years I’ve watched, appalled, as women like Allison Bailey, Raquel Sanchez, Marion Miller, Rosie Duffield, Joanna Cherry, Julie Bindel, Rosa Freedman, Kathleen Stock and many, many others, including women who have no public profile but who’ve contacted me to relate their experiences, have been subject to campaigns of intimidation which range from being hounded on social media, the targeting of their employers, all the way up to doxing and direct threats of violence, including rape.

‘None these women are protected as much as I am. Their families and friends have been placed in fear and distress because they are refusing to accept the socio-political idea of gender identity as a replacement for sex.

I have to believe that @IAmGeorgiaFrost @hollywstars @Richard_Energy_ believed doxxing me was an intimidation for speaking out in support of women’s sexual-based rights.

“They must have thought of the fact that I have received death threats so often I could cover the house with them. I don’t mind speaking up. Perhaps – and I’m just throwing this out there – the best way to prove your movement isn’t a threat to women, is to stop stalking, harassing and threatening us.’

In response, Holly Stars wrote: ‘Yesterday we posted a picture we took at JK Rowling’s house.

While we are standing by the image, we’ve received a lot of hateful and serious messages since it was posted. Therefore we decided to delete the photo. #transrightsarehumanrights. Our trans brothers and sisters are loved.

Rowling has been embroiled in a row about trans since June 2020, when she used Twitter to criticize an opinion article that used the term “people that menstruate” rather than the name of women.

She tweeted that she was sure of a term for such people. “Someone please help me. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?’

The conversation continued on a thread about biological sex.

She claimed that if sex wasn’t real there wouldn’t be any same-sex attraction. “If sex doesn’t exist, women around the world will be living in a fantasy of sex.”

“I am a trans person and I love them, but eliminating the notion of sex is limiting the possibility of people being able to discuss their lives in a meaningful way.”

Rowling clarified later that Rowling respects the rights of every trans person to live in a way that is authentic and comfortable for them. She then said that Rowling would march if she was discriminated against because she was trans.

‘At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female,’ Rowling said, the Associated Press reported at the time. I don’t think it’s bad to be so openly.

She was then embroiled in another controversy after it was revealed that the villain in her latest book Troubled Blood (right) is a male serial killer who dresses as a woman to slay his victims

After her new book Troubled Blood was published under Rowling’s pseudonym Robert Galbraith, it came out that she had transphobia. She faced renewed criticisms in September 2020. A male serial killer dressed as a woman in order to kill his victims.

An early review of the 900-page book by The Daily Telegraph – in which the critic states the book’s ‘moral seems to be: never trust a man in a dress’ – sparked immediate backlash online.

These remarks prompted Harry Potter actors to take the stage. Rupert Grint (Emma Watson), Daniel Radcliffe, and Eddie Redmayne all star in the Fantastic Beasts films. The author was criticized for making these remarks.

In March Rupert Grint will play Ron Weasley, the iconic film series’ star. admitted that he felt he needed to stand up for transgender people following Rowling’s remarks.

He said that  while he was ‘not an authority’ on the debate, he felt he had a responsibility to speak out in support of the trans community as ‘silence is louder’.

In an interview with Esquire, he said: ‘I am hugely grateful [for] everything that she’s done. I think that she’s extremely talented, and I mean, clearly, her works are genius.’

“But, yeah, I believe you can also have great respect and disagreement with someone…

“Sometimes silence makes the sound even louder. It was necessary that I did so because it felt important. I mean, I don’t want to talk about all that… Generally, I’m not an authority on the subject.

“Just out kindness, and simply respecting others. I think it’s a valuable group that I think needs standing up for.’

However, collection of over 50 actors, writers, playwrights, journalists later joined together to pen a letter in response to ‘hate speech’ directed against Rowling.

Booker nominee Ian McEwan and actor Griff Rhys, Frances Barber (actress), and Sir Tom Stoppard (playwright) are some of the signatories.

HBO Max reports that the cast has been invited back for the 20th anniversary special. The special will “tell an enchanting Making-of Story through all-new in-depth interview and cast conversation,” according to HBO Max.

A release said it would feature stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint – who have not made a public appearance together since the premiere of the last premiere of the franchise, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, in July 2011, as well as filmmaker Chris Columbus, who directed the blockbuster film.

However, the release did not include JK Rowling (author of characters), who was criticized for her opinions on transgender persons.

According to sources close to the project, it will be centered on creating the original film twenty years ago and its central cast and crew.

Rowling would be seen in archive footage dating back to the making of the original movie. However, she will not appear in the special.
