Former England football captain John Terry has already felt the sharp end of Twitter, despite only having recently joined the social media platform, after he shared a snap of himself in winter attire on a private jet – returning from a £145,000-a-week ski holiday.
After enjoying an unforgettable family holiday at a Dragons Den chalet, the 41-year-old Chelsea star posted a picture of himself onboard the private jet after a short flight from Switzerland.
Terry was not able to capture the image as he intended. Instead, he returned to Chelsea to teach at their academy. Thousands of people poked fun at Terry’s winter outfit.

Former Chelsea and England football star Toni, who is currently on a luxurious New Year’s ski trip in Le Petit Crans with Toni, was mocked for her fashion choices. He posted this image on Twitter Monday
He shared many photos of his luxury ski trip, including this shot of him gazing directly at the camera on his smartphone.
It’s a nice pad. Many fans were also shocked that Terry flew in a private jet while staying at Le Petit Crans (a chalet owned by Dragons Den star Peter Jones) to make the short trip to Geneva.
Ex-footballer had on a pair of tan-coloured, mid-calf-snow boots with skinny pants and a bobble head for the return leg to Britain. This was after a stay at Le Petit Crans in Crans Montana, an exclusive chalet.
According to the chalet’s website, the property, which sleeps 16, comes with a ‘butler, chef, waitress and maid’ – and costs £145,000 a week during the height of the winter ski season.
Terry shared his thoughts with his Instagram followers of 6.3 million that this was the best holiday he had ever experienced and made memories that will last a lifetime. He scanned a series of photos from his winter vacation with Toni, Toni, and their two children Georgie (and Summer)
But, those who took the picture of him in winter attire were quick to point out that many people thought his wardrobe was too shabby.
Donning a pair of pristine £150 Sorel Caribou boots for the private flight home, Terry tucked in his slim-fitting trousers into the waterproof boots – and football fans were quick to offer a disparaging verdict.
@PaulMacca76 howled: ‘You stood in front of a full length mirror this morning and said ‘yeah this outfit works’?!?’
Terry and Jones are pictured together next to the Love sign on the property. This exclusive pad sleeps 16 persons and is equipped with a waitress, butler and chef.

Terry might be gone from the pitch but Terry, 41 years old, seems to still enjoy the good life Chelsea pays.
Villa supporter @Billy_Chisholm suggested the boots hadn’t seen much snow, saying: ‘Those boots look far too clean John or are they your in-flight wear?’
Many were stunned that the former footballer used a private plane to fly to Geneva.

Terry is back at Stamford Bridge after five years. He has now taken up a coaching position with the Blues academy.
Terry retired from the club as assistant manager in 2017. He has since sought to make a living coaching. After three years as an assistant manager at Aston Villa, Terry left the club last summer.
Former England captain, he resigned from Villa Park in order to explore other coaching styles. He has been waiting for other opportunities to become a head coach.
He still lives near Chelsea’s Cobham training facility at 41 years old. It is believed that his strong ties with ex-team-mates Petr Cucicini and Carlo Cudicini, who now hold roles at Chelsea, have helped him return to the club.
